It's a double dose of inspiration!"

My Thoughts:

I still can't believe that Chicken Soup for the Soul books have been around for 20 years.  I have been reading them since they first began publishing.  How about you?  There is something about these inspirational books that makes you want to pick up another title and read, time and time again.  I especially love the themed books, like parenting or even the Christmas holiday books.  And, in celebration of 20 years, the folks at Chicken Soup for the Soul are releasing a handful of books this year that includes stories from years past that fans of this book series still talk about today, and ones that have made an impact on their lives in some way.

Do you have a favorite Chicken Soup for the Soul book?  Or better yet, a story that struck a cord with you, and one that you remember and even talk about today?  I don't know how they did it when it came to choosing the stories to include in this book, that changed our lives.  I wouldn't have been able to narrow it down.  But, as I sat and read each inspirational story over the weekend, I was able to remember a majority of the stories, and could see how they had a profound effect on many readers lives.  With all Chicken Soup for the Soul books, I found myself, laughing, crying and relating to many of the personal stories shared.  I also found myself mentally taking a step back and thinking about my life and what I am grateful for, and where I want to see myself in the future, and think about the steps on getting there.  No other book series has been as powerful as the Chicken Soup for the Soul books in making me want to better myself, cherish the moments I have with family and friends, and journal about personal stories that I can leave for my children to enjoy one day.  I may never get published in a Chicken Soup for the Soul book, but the stories I pen for my children, many which are about them, will be cherished by them, just as I am cherishing reading personal stories from Chicken Soup for the Soul contributors, I have read over the past 20 years.  Here's hoping for another successful 20 years!
