My Thoughts:

I was so excited last month to be invited into the Tommy Nelson Mommy Blogger Ambassador program.  Not only will I be able to review wonderful faith-based products each month with my family, but I will also get to offer the same item I reviewed as a giveaway for one lucky reader to win.

For April, I was given the opportunity to choose from a handful of items, including their new Prayers for Boys/Prayers for Girls books, On the Farm: Cocka Doodle Doo the Right Thing animated DVD and Hermie & Friends: I Will Tell the Truth & Be Careful What I Say animated DVD.  Because the DVDs were geared more towards children ages 4-7, I opted to review the Prayers for Girls book, which has a suggested age of 1-4 years old.

I was excited to receive this book, as my oldest daughter Savannah has begun to learn and recite prayers at bedtime and helps say grace at the dinner table.  I couldn't wait to surprise her with her very own prayer book, which comes with a plastic handle for easy carrying, wherever she wants to bring this book. :-)

Upon receiving the book, I read through it first to see the type of content it had, and if I thought Savannah would be able to understand it.  This little prayer book, which is also offered in a boys version, offers an introductory to prayer for little ones.  The text is easy to understand, and has cute colorful illustrations that will help even the youngest of children grasp the text, and overall importance of prayer.

The plastic handle is great, but I also love how this board book is padded for added softness and durability.  I don't have to limit the places I let Savannah bring her Prayers for Girls book, as I know this small padded book can hold its own, and will not break easily.

I will definitely be picking up another one of these prayer books for Arabella to have, as she loves sneaking off with Savannah's copy to flip through the pages. :-)

If you have been looking for a great way to introduce your toddler/pre-schooler to the importance of prayer, then you will love this book, which is available in both boys and girls version.  These board books would also make wonderful gift ideas, and will be enjoyed and read for years to come.

To learn more about these prayer books, as well as other products from Thomas Nelson, click here to visit their website now -- http://www.tommynelson.com/.  These prayer books are only $6.99, making them not only enjoyable to read and share with young children, but also affordable.
