"An adorable follow-up to The Biggest Kiss, which School Library Journal called “a wonderful cuddle-up-and-read choice.”

There are hugs for wrigglers, and hugs for gigglers. Hugs that are tickly, and hugs that are prickly…But what kind of hug is absolutely PERFECT? This fabulous feel-good picture book is simply bursting with the cuddliest, snuggliest, most perfect hugs. Dive in and enjoy a hug yourself!"

My Thoughts:

Can you describe the perfect hug?  Well, that is what the little panda in storybook for young children is in search of.  As you snuggle up next your child at bedtime or even for afternoon story time, why not share this cute book with them?  Not only are the illustrations fun to look at, but little children will love trying to guess what the best hug is.

I have had this book for only a week, but it has already become one of my daughter Savannah's most requested bedtime books.  I think one reason why she likes this book so much, is that after I read each page, I pull both her and her little sister close and give them a great big bear hug, as I ask, "Is this the perfect hug," at which Savannah always answers, "No."  But, when I finally get to the last page and give one last hug and ask if it is the perfect hug, she always says, "No," and then follows up with a hug for both her sister and I, and a great big kiss.  I then tell her that her hug is the perfect hug, and smile. :-)  No matter how you hug (big or small, silly or tickly) just make sure you hug your little ones, kiss them and tell them how much they mean to you.

So, if you are looking for a great bedtime or anytime book to share with your little one(s), why not pick up "The Perfect Hug" by Joanna Walsh today?  Once you read it with your children, I know it will become a favorite, as it had ours.  And, good luck as you and your little ones search for the perfect hug. :-)
