My Thoughts:

Have you had a chance to see Disney's new hit animated movie, "Wreck-It-Ralph" in theatres yet?  Unfortunately we haven't had a chance yet, as the girls have been sick. But, we have made plans for next weekend to see it.  In the meantime, Savannah is getting her "Wreck-It-Ralph" fix with two new apps released by Disney Publishing.

The first app is a deluxe storybook, which uses clips from the movie to narrate the story.  Interspersed through the story are interactive elements that make reading and following along with the story a treat.  When your child is done with the intereactive storybook feature, they can have fun decorating and racing their own candy karts.  Savannah had a blast the mini racing game, and didn't need for us to show her how to play.

I couldn't get over how must content this app contained for only $6.99, and that it didn't take up much space on the iPad.  Usually when I download new apps, I have to delete others to make space.

As for the second app, which is an interactive comic book, my husband enjoyed this more than my daughter.  Geared towards older children and lovers of comic books, you don't have to see the Wreck-It-Ralph movie to to enjoy this interactive comic app, filled with great games and music.  My husband liked reading the 22-page comic in panel by panel mode, as it made him feel like he was flipping through a real comic.  He couldn't get over the detail of this drawings, and found himself hooked on the games.

Based upon the frequent use of these new apps by my daughter and husband this past weekend, I can say that they are winners, and worth checking out.  And, with the holidays fast approaching, and long car rides to the relatives, these two new apps from Disney Publishing would be a great way to keep children entertained in the back seat. :-)

Disclosure: I was sent promo codes to download and review these apps from the vendor.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
