My Thoughts:

The one perk of not feeling well is that the girls and I are able to catch on DVDs we have been meaning to watch.  Since receiving this 4-DVD set a couple of weeks ago, Savannah couldn't wait to start watching it.  I was hoping my husband would watch them with her, as they have developed a love for playing with her Thomas and Friends train set together, and watch some of her favorite Thomas and Friends DVD while they play.  But, as she was resting the other day on the couch, she asked if I would watch one of the DVDs with her.  How could I say, "No," to her big, brown eyes? :-)  And, one DVD turned into 2, then 3.  And, by the time my husband came home, we had spent an entire afternoon watching Thomas.

Even though Savannah had seen all the episodes that make up this 4-DVD set, she watched them like it was the first time.  As soon as Thomas and his friends appeared on the screen, she seemed to perk up a bit.  She even mustered up enough strength to dance along on the couch to the catchy theme song. :-)

Hopefully in the coming weeks when she and Arabella are feeling better, they will watch this new DVD set with my husband, while playing with her train set.  This hit show is one that both parents and children can enjoy watching together.  I don't find myself yawning or wondering what she sees in this show when we watch it, like I do with others.

And, with the holidays right around the corner, why not surprise that Thomas and Friends fan in your life with this new 4-DVD set.  They will have a blast watching Thomas and Friends on their many adventures on the island of Sodor. :-)
