Seven Guidelines for Achieving Success in Your Home and Business

Super Parent Wishes and CEO Dreams?

This past Monday I shared my Spotlight Mom interview with the author of For Love and Money, Dr. Bellandra B. Foster.  If you missed my post, click here to read it now --  Today, I wanted to share more about her book, which I found to be instrumental in finding a balance between work and family.  In addition, I wanted to give one lucky reader a chance to win a copy for themselves.  With the way that the economy is today, many moms are turning to working part time in or outside the home to bring in extra cash. While they love helping the family financial, many struggle with striking a balance between work and family.  For myself, I have tried to work during the day time while they nap, but would rather clean the house, tackle other outstanding items or take a nap.  And, when they are up, the last thing I want to do is work - but, sometimes I have to take conference calls, etc. which pull me away from the girls.  During these times, I question if it is worth the hassle, while also loving what I do.  It is reassuring, though, when I talk to other moms who are working and juggling family, as they struggle with the same feelings.  But, thanks to Bellandra's book, I am able to find a happy medium between work and family and can sleep a little easier knowing that I love what I do, and am lucky to be able to stay home and watch the girls grow.  Win, win!!
