My Thoughts:

My husband and I are addicted to this show.  We haven't missed an episode and continue to watch repeats that we have saved to the DVR and on HULU.  If you have't seen this comedy on ABC, then you are missing out.  It follows the Pritchett/Dunphy clans, made up of three families, as they go through the motions of daily.  Each episode is different and will have you laughing from start to finish. With an ensamble cast including Ed O'Neil Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell.

Don't ask me to choose a favorite character as each is so funny and the actors all nail their roles making you believe they are the characters they play.  I find myself laughing at the children and the mischief and funny things they say.  My husband, on the other hand loves Phil Dunphy and his crazy antics.  As soon as Phil opens his mouth, you will laughing. I loved how Season 3 ended with Gloria finding out that she was pregnant.  My mind began racing wondering what everyone would think, especially her son Manny.  We will definitely be tuning in weekly for Season 4 (and beyond) to see the ever growing Pritchett/Dunphy clans.

So, when I was sent Modern Family: Season 3 on Blu-Ray (which released Sept. 18th on DVD and Blu-Ray), I couldn't wait to put the girls to bed to watch the bonus features with my husband.  We couldn't resist playing the gag reel first, which we ended up watching twice in a row -- You definitely have to watch this bonus feature!!  We followed the gag reel up by watching the Driving Lessons and then A Modern Family Christmas.  If the girls hadn't woken up for a feeding and diaper change, we could have spent all night watching some of our favorite episodes.  But, on the schedule tonight is watching the rest of the bonus features of this 3-disc set, including the deleted and extended scenes.  And, come this week, my husband and I have already agreed to try and watch 3-4 episodes a night.  With 24 episodes in total on this 3-disc set, it will take us a few weeks to watch them again, but we are up for the challenge. :-)

With the holidays right around the corner this new release would make any Modern Family fan happy.  I know as my husband gave me the previous seasons last year for Christmas.  If you have never seen this hilarious, award-winning television series, then Modern Family: Season 3 would be a great introduction. You'll be hooked after the first episode you watch. :-)

  2. I never seen Modern Family, but it seems to be a really popular sitcom. I've heard co-workers and friends talking about past episodes. I may have to check it out for myself. Thanks for sharing.
