Cascade ICE -- A Refreshing Alternative to Sugary Drinks That the Whole Family Can Enjoy (Review)

"Summer flew by as it always does, but the good times don't have to stop! Spice up your kids' lunches or after-school snacks with some tasty and unique drinks. We've got some recipe ideas that will keep families feeling refreshed and satisfied this fall.

Ice's zero-calorie waters eliminate unnecessary and unhealthy “extras” found in other flavored waters like sodium, caffeine, gluten and sugar. Compared to many popular soda brands which can contain upwards of 38 grams of sugar, Cascade Ice beverages are sugar-free and full of flavor.

Kids love the great taste of Cascade Ice, and moms are thrilled to have a healthier option than sugary juices and sodas available to add to lunches or snacks. Below are a few fun, easy recipes that families everywhere will enjoy making and tasting!"

Back-to-School Berry Blast
To create, mix 1 cup of apple slices, 3/4 cup Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup soy or almond milk, a handful of fresh berries and 4oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Huckleberry Blackberry Sparkling Water in a blender. Blend until smooth and top with a few more fresh berries.

Apple Fizzies
So delicious and fun to make! Just pour 6oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie McIntosh Apple over ice, add in sliced Red Delicious apples and sprinkle in some cinnamon. For the perfect after-school combo, serve the extra apple slices with a tablespoon of peanut butter!

Watermelon Slushie
Watermelon is oh-so-delicious, and ripe for the pickin’ this fall. In a blender, combine a few handfuls of ice, several seedless watermelon chunks and 8oz of Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Blueberry WatermelonThen, pour in 6oz of club soda. Blend to desired consistency and enjoy!

Pear Limeade
To make, start with a handful of ice and a chilled glass. Next, add 6oz Cascade Ice Zero-Calorie Key Lime Lulo Pear. Finish it off with a splash of apple juice and a freshly-squeezed lime. Garnish with sliced lime wedges for a fun touch.

My Thoughts:

I was sent a sampling of Cascade Ice beverages, to try the above recipes, as well as be creative and make some tasty adult cocktails for my husband and I to enjoy when the girls went to bed. Out of the above recipes our family favorite was the Watermelon
Slushie.  It brought me back to the warm summer days as I sipped this drink.  I ended up shaving the ice and then pouring the drink over it for a crunchy, frozen treat.  And, for an adult cocktail, I used the Cascade Ice Margarita mix for a quick pick me up :-)

How can you resist a zero calorie drink?  I am usually a fan of sugary sodas, but loved the fresh taste of these beverages.  Since receiving samples, I quickly restocked the refrigerator by buying  variety pack online.  Now, whenever I am looking for a refreshing drink, I can quench my thirst, while knowing that the drink is zero calories. :-)  And, when Savannah asks for juice, I fill up her
sippy cup with Cascade Ice beverages and she doesn't know the difference.  Parents will love grabbing a bottle for on the go or to bring to work with them.  And, don't forget to add a bottle to your child's lunch box.
