I have been buying shelf safe milk since we experienced a fluke hurricane last August and lost power for over a week.  We ended up having to through out all the food in the refrigerator, including our daughter's milk, which she needs to help take naps and sleep at night time.  After attempts to buy pints of milk and store in a cooler, only to run out, I stumbled upon shelf safe milk, and boy were they a life saver.  Not only was I able to give Savannah milk whenever she wanted for naps and with her meals, I didn't have to worry about an expiration date or keeping chilled.  

New England is so unpredictable and we experienced this firsthand last year.  Going forward, I am not going to chance a fluke hurricane, ice storm, etc. and will be stocking up on shelf sake milk and keeping them in the pantry.  Savannah is a fan of the flavored milks, especially chocolate and strawberry.
