Grandparent's Day is Right Around the Corner - Make Catching Fireflies Your First and Only Stop For Quality Gifts

Did you know that Sept. 9th is Grandparents Day?  If so, how do you celebrate?  Since welcoming our girls in 2010 and 2011, I have made a point to have a nice family diner the weekend of Grandparents Day.  My parents usually come for the weekend, and get in some much needed play and snuggle time with Savannah and Arabella.  While here, we usually surprise them with a few gifts from the girls.  Like most parents with young children, I love taking pictures of the girls.  Both my computer and online photo storage sites are filled with these captured memories.  

When it comes to deciding on just the right gift to share with them, I like to incorporate photos of the girls over the course of the year.  Last year, I had a photo collage wall picture made, which I had framed, along with a framed masterpiece of Savannah's doodles.  And, for Arabella's individual gift to them, I created a hand and footprint wall hanging.  In 2010, when we just had Savannah, I gave my mother (or, Nana as Savannah calls her) a locket with Savannah's baby photo and foot print in it, and for my dad (or Papa), I made a mini flip photo book for him to carry in either his car or wallet, in addition to etched in glass picture.
