Don't Forget to Pack Your LypSyl Lip Balm with SPF 15 When You Head Out the Door this Summer (Review)

It’s time to throw on your sunglasses and prepare for the warm weather ahead by protecting your skin from the bright sunshine rays.   Applying sunscreen is key during the warm weather, but sometimes we forget to protect our lips.  LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer in HoneyBerry is an ultra-light formula made from pure Swedish beeswax that penetrates deeply into skin, leaving lips soft and smooth, while protecting them with SPF 15.

Wear throughout the day for lasting sun protection, LypSyl Lip Balm never fails to keep your lips looking and feeling great!

 My Thoughts:

When it comes to my sensitive skin, my lips also fall under this category.  A simple wind will chap them, and the harsh winters months, leave them dried out and cracked, leaving me to spend countless times during a given day, applying and re-applying lip balm to protect and help soothe and health them.  I can't tell you how much time and money I have spent trying to find just the right lip balm that will actually work. If you had asked me prior to 2008, when I was diagnosed and treated for cancer, if I needed SPF15 in a lip balm, I would say now.  I only thought I would need a lubricant that would not only smooth out dry, chapped skin, but protect it, allowing the skin to heal.  But, after battling cancer, I don't take any chances with my skin, including my lips.  I have so many friends who have had skin cancer scares, and some who have had to have cancerous spots removed from their face and lips.  I was surprised after treatment all the number of lip balm products that didn't include SPF as an ingredient.  I also, never knew about LypSyl until I received these samples.  These samples couldn't have come at a better time, as the warmer weather and long, sunny days are upon us, and my go-to lip balm is no longer sold in stores.  I guess I was the only one that thought it was popular, as my recent trip to the pharmacy turned up empty handed.

At first, I wasn't sure how LypSyl would work, and if I would like the feel of Swedish beeswax on my lips.  I loved the easy to apply and stash .10 oz tubes, which come in original and Honeyberry flavors.  The only differences between the two is that the Honeyberry one contains avocado butter and a Honeyberry fragrance, while the original has a minty flavor and coconut oil added to the Shea butter.  Out of the two, I have to say I was loving the Honeyberry lip balm more, as I found it really penetrated my dry lips, making them look and feel instantly hydrated and smooth to the touch.  It is going on over a week since I received these samples, and I as look at the tubes, I haven't even made a dent in them.  This lets me know that a little goes a long way, and that these tubes will be lasting me a few months at least.  I have one tube in the medicine cabinet and the other stashed in my diaper bag.  Now, whenever I am, I can simply reach for my LypSyl lip balm for moisturizing and added skin protection thanks to the SPF15 included.

So, this summer, don't forget your lips, when you are slathering on you sunscreen. Make sure you have a tube of LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer on hand to addition that much needed protection to your lips.
