Does your little one have a favorite movie or character they love? A few months ago, Savannah went crazy for Angelina Ballerina. But, when I watched Toy Story 2 with her, she instantly fell in love with Woody, Buzz and Jessie. Now, she has to watch this movie at least once a day, or read stories from her Toy Story collections book I got her. And, don't get me started on the Toy Story toys, apparel and books we have. You would think we were in the movie, with all the memorabilia we have around the house. Here is Savannah admiring one of her Toy Story birthday decorations she found, and had me hang up for her:
Just the other day, we were shopping at Walmart and she caught a glimpse of Woody on a greeting card, while I was shopping for Father's Day cards. She began yelling and clapping, in the middle of the busy greeting card aisle. I asked her what it was, and she pointed to the card. When I gave it to her and she opened it, to play music, she went crazy, with excitement. Everyone stopped to look, as she bobbed her head around to the music. Ahh, these are those special (yet awkward) moments parents get to enjoy out in public, huh? :-)
Well, if you follow my blog, then you know that Savannah's birthday is coming up in a few weeks (July 19th). Guess what theme we are going with? You guessed it -- Toy Story. Not only with the house be decked out in Toy Story decorations, but many of her gifts from family and friends will be from Toy Story -- like she needs more Toy Story stuff. I am amazed at how much is available from this classic Disney movie. With that being said, I was excited to stumble upon www.KimmyShop.com the other day. This online toy story carries items from Toy Story and other popular children's shows, movies, etc. I found this store through a Google search, while looking for Toy Story candles for her cake.
When I saw that they had a Toy Story backpack, which included a small insulated lunch tote, I had to get this for Savannah. The folks at KimmyShop.com kindly sent me this product for review. My goal was to hide it from Savannah and fill it with Toy Story books I had ordered. But, Savannah saw it when I was taking it out of the box. She was laying on the couch napping, but happened to wake up when she heard me ruffling with the packaging.
