“Singing With The Stars” Features a Collection of Memorable Performances from
Alicia Keys, the Dixie Chicks, Andrea Bocelli, Adam Sandler and Many More

Get up and dance with your favorite Sesame Street friends as Warner Home Video (WHV) and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, release Singing With the Stars on DVD May 1, 2012 for $14.98 SRP.  This delightfully musical DVD features performances that will educate children about the joys of song and dance with celebrity appearances by Alicia Keys, the Dixie Chicks, Andrea Bocelli and Adam Sandler!

The Singing With the Stars DVD is a series of star-studded performances with songs focusing on encouraging children to feel good about who they are; boosting self-esteem and building self-confidence.  Many of the segments also focus on task persistence, feeling proud, celebrating similarities and differences, and labeling and expressing emotions.  Songs range from classics such as, “Furry Happy Monsters” with R.E.M. to the Emmy Award-winning hit, “What I Am” with Will.i.am. The DVD will also include a downloadable activity book for children and musical activity tips for parents. If there aren’t enough music videos for fans in this fun-filled DVD, a bonus 5-song CD will also be included.

“Warner Home Video is thrilled to announce that Singing With the Stars will join the Sesame Street DVD collection,” said Jeff Brown, WHV Executive Vice President and GM of Non-Theatrical Franchise Marketing. “Children and parents alike continue to learn and love with Sesame Street, and we are certain families will get up and dance with this DVD.”

Now in its 42nd season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history (138), as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.
