If you haven't had a chance to check out Beth's My NapPak, and have little ones, you are missing out. This past week, our household was hit with the nasty stomach bug that has been going around. I lost count after the first case of diapers I went through for each of my girl's, and going on day 6, the bug is still with us (minus my husband, who has yet to get it, arg). Since getting sick on Saturday, Savannah has spent most of the time in living room, camped out listening to music, playing games and watching movies we recently received. What I loved most about this comfy nap mat is that it rolls up for easy storage, and has a handle to carry around, for easy transport. And, once it is rolled out, you don't have to worry about grabbing a blanket, as there is one attached to the mat. Once Savannah was laying down, I simply pulled the fluorescent green blanket over her to keep her warm. I have to say, when I laid down next to her on the pillow, which is also part of the nap mat, it really was comfortable, and not lumpy like other pillow/blanket combos out there.
Here is a photo of Savannah playing one of her games with her Nana, who came to visit and bring chicken soup. Poor Nana is now home with the same stomach bug, along with Papa.
While my mother was here, she said this sleep mat would fit great in the cot they got for Savannah to use at their summer house. She, too, liked how it was an all-in-one mat, with the pillow and blanket attached. As for washing, I made a point to wash this and all Savannah and Arabella's clothes and blankies each night. You would think that after the 2nd or 3rd wash, that this type of mat would begin to loose its puffiness, or the pillow batting would clump up. Surprising, it still looks brand new, and is keeping its shape perfectly. With that being said, I will not hesitate to recommend this nap mat to my family and friends who are looking for a great stow away nap map for their little ones. My mom is also looking into getting one to have at the house for the girls, when they begin to do sleepovers.
