Summary:

Sleepyhead, Sleepyhead.
Good night, good night,
my Sleepyhead.
A kitten toddler is putting her favorite teddy bear to bed, just as her mother always tucks her in. But it’s really not bedtime until one more hug, one more kiss, one more snuggle, and one more story have been shared. And then, finally, it is time for sleepyheads everywhere to fall asleep.

With rhythmic text and whimsical illustrations, this bedtime story is available for the first time as a Classic Board Book.
My Thoughts:

I love reading this board book to Savannah and Arabella each night.  Since receiving this book to review a few weeks ago, it has become a tradition to end each night with a reading of this quick bedtime book.  Savannah helps turn the page, as she points out the kitten's favorite teddy bear on each page.  The story is about a kitten, who imitates how her own mother puts her bed, but with her favorite teddy bear.  The teddy bear gets it's teeth brushed, has a book read, and is followed up by a hug and a kiss.  But, Sleepyhead requests one more hug, kiss, snuggle and book, before bed.

I smiled reading this book the first time, as it reminded me of Savannah.  Each night, she asks for another kiss and hug before she can fall asleep.  I loved seeing the kitten imitate its mother in their bedtime ritual.  Like I said, I have been reading this book to Savannah and her sister for a few weeks now, and surprised to find her the other day playing with her dolls.  She pretended to read them a story, as they put them to bed.  It took one more book, hug and a kiss before her dolls were fast asleep.  How cute!!!!

If you are looking for a bedtime book to read to your little one, why not pick up a copy of this book by Karma Wilson and John Segal.  It is a such a quick read, but will make for a fun bedtime read to share together.

About the Author:

Karma Wilson--

I'm a wife, mother of three, writer and photographer. I love to write fun stories, poems, songs, etc... I especially love to write in rhyme because I think that well written rhyme naturally teaches children to expand their vocabulary and love books and reading.

I spend my time in the wilds of northwest Montana, where there are lots of bears and animals like the ones in my bear books! I love the wilderness and all of the animals that live there. My husband and children are also avid lovers of the outdoors.

I am also an amateur photographer. Give me a camera and I'll spend hours snapping photos.

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher, in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
