Summary:

Colorful fairies abound in this sparkly novelty book perfect for preschoolers!

Make friends with brightly colored fairies in this novelty book that sparkles and shines the whole way through! A magic wand, a satin bow, and a necklace made of flowers, along with plenty of pull-tabs make this interactive book princess perfect. Never has playing dress-up—and learning the names of colors—been so much fun!

My Thoughts:

This has been one of my favorite books to read, as part of this spring book review series.  I love how Savannah is able to interact with the story, by pushing and pulling tabs to make the fairies and scenery move, as well as the pop-up art and touch and feel pages that make up this fun book about fairies.  Through the use of colorful fairies, young children will learn the names of colors as they turn each page.  Young children, especially girls, will love all the glitter and whimsical illustrations.

Since reading this interactive book with Savannah, I have ordered a couple of Mara Van Fleet's previous titles, and love them just as much as this book.  This book is definitely worth picking up and sharing with your little princess.  I like how Savannah feels like she is helping to tell the story through her pushing and pulling of the tabs in this book.  I see this book staying at the top of our favorites list for a long time!
