Go outside and play! Here, at your fingertips, are how to's for more than seventy best-loved games, all set to spread the fun of active play to kids of all ages.

My Thoughts:

Now you don't have an excuse not to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather this spring and summer, thanks to Go Out and Play! by KaBoom!.  This book is filled with over 70 popular outdoor games, that children young and old will enjoy playing.  Each game is explained for those who are not familiar with it, in addition to letting readers know how many children can play each game, the appropriate age for play, the type of space needed and the materials you would to have.

Because I have two young children, I wasn't expecting there to be many games in this book that we could play with them, but I was pleasantly surprised.  And, with the recent "heat wave" we had here in New England, my husband and I played a few games with Savannah.  We had such a great time, and by the end of the game, Savannah was tuckered out, making it easier to put her to bed for the night.  I loved seeing Savannah enjoy being outdoors, and playing new and fun games.  I know that this book will come in handy as my daughters get older and can participate in more complex games.

So, with the warmer weather fast approaching, why not pick up a copy of this book today and get ready to share in the fun with outdoor play with your children?  I know you will find some games that will become family favorites.  We have been enjoying doing red light/green light, hot potato and ring around the rosey.  Many of these games require little to no materials, and those that do, you will probably have around the house, or they can be bought at an affordable price.  So, you will not be breaking the bank playing these games.

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this book by the publisher in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
