Summary:

This title includes Elmo's Animal Adventures, Elmo and the Bookaneers and Elmo and Friends: Letter Quest and Other Magical Tales! Elmo's Animal Adventures: Animals are on the loose on Sesame Street! Elmo invites you to join him and his animal friends as they embark on three fun-filled adventures. Help Elmo and Telly find Little Bo Peep's missing cow by following clues and working together. Then, use animal facts to help Elmo & Abby succeed on "The Find The Amphibian" game show. Plus, camp out with Elmo in a wilderness adventure as he learns how animals and little monsters are different. Includes special guest appearances by Cameron Diaz and Patricia Arquette. Elmo and the Bookaneers: Everyone loves to read - even pirates! The "Bookaneers," led by Tina Fey, have come ashore on Sesame Street, and they want to plunder Elmo's bookshelf. When Elmo finds out how much they love to read, he can't wait to become a bookaneer himself. Can he pass the test and help them find their treasure? Bert and Ernie are also on the hunt for treasure in an episode from the fantastic new claymation series Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures. Plus, you can sing along with Abby in a song about something she treasures: words! In Elmo's World: Books, Elmo invites you to learn all about the books he treasures. "Arrr" you ready for a reading adventure? Elmo and Friends: The Letter Quest and Other Magical Tales: The Knights of Sesame Street are on a quest! Sir Elmo, Sir Abby, and Sir Telly discover a Yogurt-Eating Yodeling Yak when they go on a quest to find things that start with the letter Y. The magical adventures continue when the Shoe Fairy (Neil Patrick Harris) appears and shows Abby and Telly that there are shoes for everyone and everything. But can he find the perfect pair of shoes for Telly? Plus, join Cookie Monster as he discovers the perils of having the "cookie touch!"

My Thoughts:

Since receiving this DVD, Savannah can't get enough of Elmo and his friend Abby.  Savannah especially loves episode, Elmo and the Bookaneers, where she can sing along with Abby.  I love how Elmo and his friends teach young children to love books and the words on their pages.  And, as an adult, it is entertaining to see famous celebrities make guest appearances and interact with Elmo and friends.  As a child, I was a fan of Sesame Street and Elmo, and love how my daughter is able to enjoy this wholesome and educational series, as had I.  This DVD is just another Sesame Street title in our collection, but one that will be enjoyed frequently, as it contains Abby, my daughter's favorite character next to to Elmo.

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this DVD from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
