With today’s release of REAL STEEL on Blu-ray & DVD, Disney is also offering a Second Screen application of the film FREE!!!

What is Second Screen You Ask?:

Second Screen allows fans to dive deeper into the action with concept art, behind-the-scenes images, supplemental videos, and more! Viewers can interact with their Blu-ray Disc simultaneously and without interruption on their laptop or iPad.

Now, Meet the Bots:

Who is your favorite bot?  Noisy Boy, the Steel Samuri, Midas, the Cold-Blooded Killer -- I just love his pink mohawk, or Midas? When Midas gets in the ring, he is a force to be reckoned with.

My husband's favorite is the two-headed bot, called Twin Cities.  They double team in the ring, and it is so much fun to watch this two-headed bot.  As for me, I root for Atom, the people's champion.

So, do you have a favorite?  And, does your family agree on their favorite, or are they split like my family is?  All in all these bots from Real Steel are truly amazing to watch in the ring.  I wonder if there will ever come a time in my lifetime that bots takes over the ring, and humans are left to cheer on the outside? Hmmm..  Well, for now, you can watch Real Steel to get your boxing fit, as well as awesome bonus features. I couldn't stop laughing at the blooper real, and was captivated by the behind-the-scenes feature showing how the bots and movie was actually put together.  It is amazing what people can do when it comes to creating action bots and making them come to life on the big screen.  If you love behind-the-scenes features, you will definitely love watching this one.

My Thoughts:

My family loves Real Steel!!!! Since receiving an advance copy last week, we have watched it twice already.  We are fascinated by the bots and special effects that this movie has to offer.  Dreamworks has done it again, with another family favorite.  If you missed Reel Steal when it was playing in theaters last year, like we did, then you are truly missing out.  This is an amazing movie, and one that will offer pure enjoyment for the entire family.  It is being compared to Rocky, but with robots.  Being a huge Rocky and boxing fan, I can see why and totally agree.

This heartwarming film about a father/son team who team up for last chance to taste victory in the ring.  Charlie, a washed-up boxer, played by Hugh Jackman, lost his chance at the title belt, when bots took over the ring played He finds himself in hard times financially, so he teams up with his estranged son, Max, to build and train a championship bot contender.  Does Charlie score a comeback in ring?  You will have to rent this movie to find out!  This is a great film to watch with children, as it shares the message to “Dream Big” and work towards achieving those dreams and aspirations, as you can make them happen.

Disclosure:  I was sent a review copy from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
