Seneca Farms Oatmeal–No Need to Add Water or Milk–Just Heat and Serve–Yum!! (Review)

Have you heard of Seneca Farms oatmeal?  Neither had I, until I was sent 2 of their flavors to sample, including Apple Cinnamon and Maple and Brown Sugar.

Real chunks of apples combine with toasty cinnamon for a cup of pure goodness and nutrition. Pop in the microwave for 45 seconds and – voila! – a ready-to-go warm breakfast. *

Warm oats combined with maple and brown sugar will bring the goodness of "comfort food" to fuel your busy day. *

*Available in two-pack sleeves or convenient single serve cups.

What I like best about this oatmeal, besides the great flavor and taste of each of the samples sent my way, was that is was ready to eat. I didn’t have to add milk or water. Instead, I popped a cup in microwave, and 45 seconds later I was enjoying what tastes like oatmeal that had been cooking all morning long. And, best of all, each of the Seneca Farms oatmeal flavors contain real chunks of fruit. I couldn’t believe how big the chunks were until I took my first bite. The apple tasted like it was just picked from the tea and kept a bite to it. Other apple flavored oatmeals I have tried in the past either contained so-called apples pieces, but it ended up being apple flavoring or dried apple pieces. Really not to pleasing to the palette. And, if it did contain real chunks of apple, by the time it was done cooking, the apples were all soggy, and had lost its taste.

In addition to the two flavors sent for sampling, Seneca Farms also offers Vanilla Peach and Cranberry Apple. Hmm, just thinking about them, makes my mouth water, and wish I had a cup right now to pop in the microwave.

As a busy mom on the go, I never know when the babies will wake up in the morning, so unless I get up bright and early to have breakfast, I don’t have breakfast (usually) daily. And, by mid-morning, after chasing around a toddler and tending to a newborn, I am out of energy and looking for a quick recharge –which meals grabbing chips and soda. But, when I had these oatmeals in the house, I loved being able to grab a cup and in 45 seconds, have a tasty and hot cup of oatmeal, which would tide me over until lunch. I have Seneca Farms on my grocery list each week, as they are so easy and convenient. Even my husband loves to make a cup quickly in the AM, when he is running late, or grab and go, and heat up when he gets settled at work.

So, if you are looking for a quick and healthy, and DELICIOUS breakfast choice, why not choose Seneca Farm’s Oatmeal. In addition to oatmeal, Seneca also makes and sells Apple Chips, Potato Chips and Crisp Onions.
