My Thoughts:

This past week, I spotlighted Nanette Meneses, the creator of the Happi Tummi.  If you missed my interview with her, click here to read it now.  Today, I wanted to share more information about her amazing product.  Read on to see how her invention, the Happi Tummi, is helping us with our daughter.

Both of my girls had colic.  And, if you are mom with a child with or who has had colic, you know how frustrating it can be to see your baby so helpful and in pain, as well as having this take a toll on you mentally and physically.  My 17 month, who outgrew colic by 6 months, spent the first few months of life crying non-stop.  At times, it felt like she would cry for 24 hrs. straight.  I tried everything I had read and heard from other moms, but nothing seemed to work.  At first, gripe water seemed to work, but only lasted 2 days.  Then, to add to it, she was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis at 28 days and was in the hospital that afternoon for surgery.  And, our second daughter, like clockwork, was just diagnosed at 30 days old and had surgery.  She spent 4 days in the hospital and is now how with us.  So, not only is she recovering from surgery and dehydration, she also has colic.  Not fun!!! My husband and I have been taking shifts, as she seems to be up all day, not being able to get comfy.

I was sent the Happi Tummi to try out as part of my Feature Friday post, but also couldn't wait to see if this would finally answer our fussy baby prayers.  Now that my daughter is 14 days out of surgery, I have to say, I am noticing that her colic is lessening when she wears the Happi Tummi herbal belt. I am not putting it on too tight because of the incisions, but when it is on, her crying bouts lessen and she seems to be a happier baby.  I will continue to use this product and will share with you all how things are going.  But, in the meantime, I am crossing my fingers that it is working, and we will not have to suffer as a whole family through 5 more months of colic.

Stay tuned.

  2. I would love to give this to my cousin for when she has her baby. I had two VERY colicky babies, and I wish this product had been around then (or at least had known about it if it was!). What a fantastic idea!
