My Thoughts:
Many of you know that I am always on the lookout for toys that are not only fun for my daughter, Savannah, to play with, but also those that are educational and aid in her learning and development skills. So, when I was approached by Heather Weiss, a consultant for Discovery Toys, to review and offer a giveaway for the Measure Up! Cups, I couldn’t say, “No.” Not only is Heather is a mom, but one of the main reasons she decided to become a Discovery Toys consultant was that she, too, liked educational toys that offered skill building benefits for her children. So, I knew she offered and stood behind top quality educational products for children 0-5+ years of age.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there are tons of educational learning products on the market, but after receiving the Measure UP! Cups and having my daughter play with them, I have to say I was impressed with the overall quality of the product. Ever since receiving this product for review, I can’t get my daughter to stop playing with the cups. She enjoys stacking the cups and then knocking them down. And, with the bright colors, they really catch her eye. I especially love how each cup is numbered, so young children can practice their counting skills through stacking and nesting these measuring cups. Even though Savannah is too young right now to recite her numbers, I make sure to count out each number and color as we nest and stack the cups together. These measuring cups will surely be a favorite toy for Savannah for the next couple of years, and will be a great teaching tool that I can use when practicing counting and simple mathematics with her, as well as color recognition.
