What is Gelato?:

Gelato is an Italian-style ice cream that contains less butterfat and less air than ice cream resulting in a denser, creamier and more flavorful frozen treat. Every Ciao Bella Gelato is an indulgent flavor experience — The bolder side of ice cream.™

What is Sorbet?:

Sorbet is a guiltless frozen dessert made of pure fruit and does not contain dairy. The result is
an intense flavor experience that we at Ciao Bella like to describe as True-to-the-fruit goodness.™

I recently had the opportunity to try out both gelato and sorbet from the Ciao Bella product line for the first time.  These are the flavors I chose:

I really wanted to try Ciao Bella's frozen bars, but couldn't' find any at a retailer near me.  So, I ended up getting a sampling of their sorbet and gelato in the flavors above.  After trying out all three, I have to say my favorite was the Pistachio gelato.  Unlike other gelatos, this product actually real pistachio pieces.  And, it wasn't too sweet or overpowering, so you didn't feel guilty having a dish after dinner.  I have tried other gelatos and I felt like I was just eating sugar.  But, with the first spoonful, you could tell that Ciao Bella uses only the finest of ingredients in order to achieve their unique and bold flavors. What I liked about the blood orange sorbet is that it only contained 60 calories per serving and it contains 50% of your daily value of Vitamin C, so you don't feel guilty having a cup whenever you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth.  My husband especially loved the belgian chocolate gelato.  He said is was so rich and creamy, and left him wanting to keep scooping spoonfuls out of the carton.

In addition to the above flavors I sampled, Ciao Bella also offers the following flavors:

Sorbets:

Banana Mango
Blackberry Cabernet
Blood Orange
Coconut
Dark Chocolate
Lemon Zest
Mango
Passion Fruit
Raspberry
Prickly Pear
Peach Ginger
Wild Blueberry
Strawberry

Gelato:

Belgian Chocolate S'mores
Belgian Chocolate
Chocolate Hazelnut
Chocolate Jalapeno
Dulce De Leche
Honey Toasted Pecan
Key Lime Graham
Malted Milk Ball
Maple Ginger Snap
Matcha Green Tea
Mint Leaf Chip
Pistachio
Roasted Hazelnut
Strawberry
Tahitian Vanilla
Triple Espresso

You should have saw me at the market.  I was like a kid in a candy store trying to decide which flavors to try.  They all looked and sounded so good.  Now that I know the quality of Ciao Bella products is exceptionally, I will definitely be sampling other flavors and picking pints up to have on hand this holiday season to offer guest with their desserts.  No need to head to a fancy Gelato or dessert bar - instead, head to your local grocery store's freezer section to pick up authentic sorbets and gelatos.  You deserve to treat yourself after a long day of taking care of the kids or working.
