Seattle Chocolates, Birthday Cake Truffle Bar (Product Review)

Birthday cake mix center with colorful confetti pieces enrobed in milk chocolate. Tastes like birthday wishes. Flavor notes: yellow cake, vanilla frosting with a hint of sweetness and surprising bursts of color. Our cake mix uses un-bromated wheat flour and plant based natural color confetti. 2.5 oz.

My Thoughts:

Where do I start?  This was one of my favorite items to review.  Being a chocoholic, I couldn't wait to sample the Birthday Cake Truffle Bar from Seattle Chocolates.  Having never had their chocolates before, I didn't know what I was missing.  But, thanks to Seattle Chocolates, they sent me three bars of this delicious chocolate to sample and I will be forever grateful, as it was just so darn good!

The packaging alone was cute and whimsical and would make for a great party favor or gift for that special someone.  At first, I didn't want to open the package, but, I knew what was inside, and just had to experience the chocolate for myself.  It only took one bite and I was in chocolate heaven!  The milk chocolate was so rich and creamy, and when you bit into the truffle bar, you could actually see the confetti cake mix in the center.  With each bite of the chocolate bar, you not only tastes the rich chocolate, but also experienced the sweetness of the yellow cake and frosting.  It was like having a birthday cake with a side of chocolate, all wrapped into one.  Even though my birthday is not until next Tuesday, when I was eating this and the other 2 sample bars, I couldn't help but think of it as my own little birthday cake treat.  Instead of heading to the bakery for a cake, I was able to experience the flavors of a sweet cake, with my all-time favorite food -- chocolate.

I let my husband sample a piece from the third truffle bar (as I ate the first before he got home, and saved the second one for "me time" when he was spending time with the baby), and he couldn't believe how good it tasted.  He could taste both the creamy chocolate and sweetness of the cake and frosting.  I told him to make a note of Seattle Chocolates, as this would make for a great birthday or holiday gift - hint, hint, hint.  We'll see if my stocking is filled with Seattle Chocolates this year.  :-)  If not, it will be the first place I check out come the day after Christmas.

So, if you are a fan of chocolate, or like to try sweet treats, then check out the offerings at Seattle Chocolates today.  In addition to this truffle bar, they also offer other truffle bar flavors like Lemon Ice, Orange Appeal, Meltaway Mink, Pike Place Espresso, Coconut Macaroon and Panoramic Pecan to name a few, in addition to other truffle products, chocolate gift boxes, seasonal items and so much more.
