Summary:

The first Arthur book in almost a decade, ARTHUR TURNS GREEN by Marc Brown features America’s favorite aardvark in a new adventure, where he is learning all about how he can save the planet through a classroom project called “ The Big Green Machine.” Naturally, his little sister D.W. misunderstands what , exactly, Arthur is up to – and thinks that Arthur is TURNING green. Marc Brown’s characteristic warm style is on full display and the story is delightful. Also, 2011 is Arthur’s 35th birthday!

My Review:

Growing up I loved reading Arthur, and was excited to be able to share my love of these books with my daughter, Savannah.  So, when I was sent an advance copy of Arthur Turns Green by Marc Brown, I couldn't wait to read it to her at bedtime.  As I read the story, it brought back memories of my mother reading Arthur books to me, and I couldn't help but smile.

I loved the story line of this book.  We follow Arthur as he learns the importance of recycling and practicing "green" habits in order to help preserve the planet.  The illustrations were amazing and tied the story together nicely.  If you are looking to educate your children about helping to take care of the environment or want to share a great book with them, then you need to pick up Arthur Turns Green today.

Disclosure:  I was sent a copy of this book in order to write up an honest review.  The views above are mine and mine alone.
