Summary:

A little bear named SugarPaw hopes to get rid of his babysitter, Bonnie Whiskes, by getting her into trouble after making changes to his rules chart. As the story unfolds SugarPaw learns about honesty and friendship, in this fun loving story. Babysitting SugarPaw, with its child-centered plot on getting to know others, is the perfect book for little ones scared of being left alone with a babysitter for the first time. This book will delight three-to-eight-year-old readers, especially those who like to create mischief.

My Review:

5 stars out of 5

What a cute story, Babysitting Sugarpaw is.  It is about a michevious bear who doesn't want a babysitter, and he goes to great lengths to make it a difficult job for Bonnie Whiskers, the babysitter.  Sugarpaw goes so far as to change the Rules Chart set forth by his family, to go in his favor.  Sugarpaw's parents tell Bonnie to follow the Rules Chart, which she doesn't know has been changed, so Sugarpaw gets away with playing with paint and staying up late.  But, in the end, he feels bad as he thinks he will get Bonnie in trouble.  He comes clean and tells her that he changed the Rules Chart and didn't mean to.  Bonnie accepts his apology and even says that she will babysit him again, when he asks.  And, the next day, Sugarpaw realizes that Bonnie remade the Rules Chart after he fell asleep, so it reflected the original chart.

Your children will love to read this book and enjoy the illustrations done by Kevin Collier. They will want to turn the page and she what happens next and if Sugarpaw gets away with changing the Rules Chart. This book is easy to read and understand for young children, and will make a great addition to your family's book collection
