Feature Friday -- 60 Quick and Easy Science Experiments Review and Giveaway

CLOSED:

Congratulations to: manthas24

I will be contacting you via email regarding the prize.

I had the opportunity to review 60 Quick and Easy Science Experiments from Touch of Home Learning last week.  The product came in the form of an e-book, which allowed me to browse through each of the 60 quick and easy science experiments with ease.  And, with the cold week we had, it was the perfect time to try out some of these experiments firsthand.

Touch of Home Learning started out as an in-school educational entertainment company.  They focus on science entertainment for children ages 3 to 7, but have also expanded their business to include Art and Music.

The 60 Quick and Easy Science Experiments E-book contains 12 of the themes they offer for their in-school events, and all the activities that go along with them.  If an adult is conducting the experiments for the children, each theme can be completed in under an hour.  But, most of the activities can be completed by the children with adult assistance.  You will have most of what you need for the activities at home.  If you do need to purchase something, most times it can be purchased at a local retailer.  For the snow activities, you will have to purchase the chemical at a school supply store.  Touch of Home Learning gives tips on how to get the chemical through disposable diapers.

I tried out the following experiments, with a few repeats for fun:

1) Balloon Rocket
2) Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
3) Starry Slime
4) Super Glue for Your Leg
5) Volcano
6) Bubble Hand
7) Bubble Shakers

If the above experiments sound fun and interesting to you – they were.  Each experiment was easy to complete, and I had all the ingredients lying around the house or in the food pantry.  And, clean up was a breeze.

Now, you are probably wondering how much will this e-book cost me?  Touch of Home Learning was kind enough to break down their pricing model, to show the overall savings by ordering this e-book for yourself.  Take for instance, you were a pre-school looking to have one of the Touch of Home Learning instructors come out and conduct all of these activities in your classroom -- it would cost you $1200.  A home-schooling parent would be looking at $420, while a home-school co-op would pay $600.  These prices are all for one session of each of the 12 themes, with a Touch of Home Learning Instructor coming out and performing the experiments.  However, with the purchase of this e-book, the activities can be done over and over again for only $54.95.  What a great savings!  This would be the perfect product to pick up if you have children who love science or experiments, and can be used for birthday party or rainy day activities.  You will be the talk of the neighborhood, all while the children are having fun learning about science.  This is a small investment for years of entertainment and educational learning.
