MYSTERY INC. & THE DARK KNIGHT UNITE AS
WARNER BROS. HOME ENTERTAINMENT
AND DC ENTERTAINMENT RELEASE

TOGETHER AGAIN AFTER 45 YEARS IN AN ALL-NEW ANIMATED FILM

My girls were excited to receive this new DVD and help me review, becauase they are both all about DC superheroes, thanks to all the new animated movies and toys featuring the likes of Batman and Batgirl.  They thought it was so neat to have Batman and Scooby-Doo and friends joining forces to fight crime.  And, if this pairing wasn't enough to get Scoooby-Doo and Batman fans excited, they will also be happy to see the whole Scooby-Doo gang and troublemakers they contend with like Ghost Clown, Miner 49er and Spooky Space Kook.  And, if that wasn't enough this DVD has classic DC villians including the Joker, Catwoman, the Riddler, and even Poison Ivy, to name a few.

Like the title of the DVD suggests, Scooby Doo and Batman join forces to get rid of evil, when both their worlds unite and wreck havoc on the city.  From start to finish this movie, will have kids (and adults) glued to the screen to see what happens next.  My girls really loved getting to root for Batman and friends, and Scooby-Doo and friends.  And, when the movie was over, my girls turned to me and asked when they could watch it again.  I was expecting to wait a day or two to watch again, but the girls were so excited to watch it and couldn't stop talking my husband's ear off when he got home from work, so they watch it again in the same night -- and, to the it was just as great as the first time.  They were on the edge of their seats, and cheering on their favorite characters, and telling the villains to go away.  I love watching the girls get excited about a show or movie like this, and it is even more special when my husband can join in the fun and gets into the movie, too.  Come on, who doesn't love Scooby-Doo and Batman?  And, when you pick up the new Scooby-Doo and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, you get the best of both worlds, in this fun and entertaining movie, that your family will want to watch time and again.

We have only had this DVD for a few days, but the girls have already watched it a few times so far. I don't see them stopping anytime soon. And, whenever they are talking with friends or playing DC supergirls with their friends, they can't help but bring up this new DVD and can't stop raving about.

So, if you are looking for a fun new movie to share with your family, or to surprise that special Scooby-Doo and/or Batman fan in your life, then you will definitely want to check out this new DVD, arriving in stores and in digital format tomorrow.

More about this new release:

"The ultimate crime-solving combination reunites when Batman joins the Mystery Inc. gang to catch a gaggle of villains wreaking havoc in Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold.  Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, the all-new original film will be distributed January 9, 2018, by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on DVD ($19.98 SRP) and Digital.

Super sleuths Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma join forces with the world’s greatest detective, Batman, when they discover that villains from both of their respective rogues’ galleries have also combined efforts to terrorize the city. With Scooby snacks in tow, the crime-fighting teams encounter classic Batman foes (Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, Penguin, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn) and allies (The Question, Aquaman, Plastic Man, Martian Manhunter) along with a bevy of fiends from Scooby-Doo lore (Spooky Space Kook, Gentleman Ghost, Miner 49er, Ghost Clown). As always, you won’t know who the ultimate villain is until those “meddling kids” pull off the mask!

Avid Scooby-Doo fans know this isn’t the first time the Caped Crusader has partnered with Mystery Incorporated. Forty-five years ago, Batman (and Robin) were the featured guest stars in a pair of The New Scooby-Doo Movies. Premiering in 1972, the renowned detectives worked to solve crimes together in the hour-long television movies entitledThe Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair and The Caped Crusader Caper.

Diedrich Bader, who voiced the Dark Knight in the fan-favorite Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated television series, reprises his role for this all-new film alongside the longtime Scooby-Doo voice cast of Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo & Fred), Grey Griffin (Daphne and Black Canary), Matthew Lillard (Shaggy) and Kate Micucci (Velma). The guest cast includes Jeff Bennett (Joker), Jeffrey Combs (The Question), John DiMaggio (Aquaman), Nika Futterman (Catwoman), Nicholas Guest (Martian Manhunter), John Michael Higgins (The Riddler), Tom Kenny (Penguin, Plastic Man), Kevin Michael Richardson (Detective Chimp), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy) and Fred Tatasciore (Harvey Bullock).

Jake Castorena directs the teleplay by Paul Giacoppo, based on a story by supervising producer James Tucker. Michael Jelenic is the producer. Executive Producer is Sam Register. Benjamin Melniker and Michael Uslan are Executive Producers."
