4-in-1 Urban Collection - You Got Served/Stomp The Yard/Gridiron Gang/Finding Forrester

I don't know about you, but I love when I can pick up a handful of movies on one or two DVDs like this collection. Not only does this help in not taking up too much space on the shelf, but it lets me score get movies at amazing prices.  This recent Urban 4-in-1 DVD collection, contains four movies featuring up and coming actors that have since made it big, as well as some of the greats, like Sean Connery.  If you were to buy each of these movies separately you would be looking at paying around $10.00 each.  But, when you pick up this DVD collection, which contains all four movies, you find yourself getting these great family-friendly movies for only $3.75.  This is liking renting the movies online or through those rental kiosks -- but, when you buy this DVD collection, you get to keep them! :-)

Have you seen the above movies?  I am guessing most of you have seen them or heard about them, so I will not bore you with an in depth review of each.  You can also Google each title to watch the movie trailer in case you are not familiar with a particular movie.  I will, however, say that this is a definitely a great mix of urban movies that the whole family will love sitting down together to watch.  They also offer great discussions afterwards with your older children about themes of the movies, or simply what they saw.  It is hard to get kids, especially older children, to open up.  But, I have heard from friends with older children, that it is a little easier when watching movies and talking about them afterwards.  And, unlike many of the movies out there today, these are really great in terms of age appropriateness.  Yes, some may contain mild violence, but you will not find swearing, sex or other inappropriate content filling up the television, when you sit down to watch any or all of these inspiring movies.

Prior to being sent the above 2-disc DVD collection, I had seen all but Finding Forrester. I had heard about it from friends and family, and had caught snippets here and there when I flipped through channels.  But, I finally made time the other evening with my husband to watch this movie, and couldn't get over how great it was.  I love Sean Connery, and he did an amazing job playing the mentor to Jamal.  This unlikely friendship will have you realizing just how importance friendship and guidance and support really is.  Not only did Jamal learn from William, but William also learns a thing or two about life and friendship.  I can see why so many of my friends and family talk about this movie, and I will definitely be watching it again, soon!
