Get Into the Christmas Spirit by Watching Little House On The Prairie: A Merry Ingalls Christmas -- Now on DVD -- Review and #Giveaway

I grew up watching and loving "Little House on the Prairie."  And, when I wasn't watching the shows on television with my family, I had my nose in the books, to get my Ingalls family fix. There is something about this family and show that makes you smile when hear "The Ingalls".  You know you are in for  a real wholesome treat when you sit down to watch these classic episodes with the whole family.

Out of all the Little House on the Prairie episodes I have to say my top two favorites are the ones that are included on this recent holiday DVD release --  “Christmas at Plum Creek" and “A Christmas They Never Forgot."  True Little House on the Prairie fans don't need a review of these two episodes as they are ones they can recall with great detail.  Fans will be quick to recall what gift each member of the family gave and received in "Christmas at Plum Creek," when money was scarce, to stories being told while snowed in during the "A Christmas They Never Forgot."

I, for one, was excited to hear about this recent DVD release and how the two holiday episodes would be remastered for better sound and picture quality.  I have a VHS and now DVD collection going of Little House on the Prairie titles, thanks in part to Lionsgate Home Entertainment for continuing to release DVDs from the popular television series which aired when I was younger.

Last week after the girls went to bed I watched this DVD and couldn't stop smiling.  It is hard to find shows like this nowadays on television, which makes watching these episodes that much more special.  I can't wait until my girls get a little older so that I can share my love of Little House on the Prairie with them, and introduce them to the Ingalls with my DVD and book collections.

Are you a fan of Little House on the Prairie, or know someone who is?  This recent DVD release would make for a great stocking stuffer idea, or one to watch as you put up the tree or enjoying with family and friends.  The two episodes really do get you in the Christmas spirit and make you wish you were more like the Ingalls. :-)
