Father's Day is fast approaching. Are you planning anything special to celebrate that special dad in your life? This year, our family will be going on a mini vacation a few days prior to Father's Day to celebrate how great my husband is, and what an amazing dad he is to our two girls.

From the moment we welcomed our daughters into this world, I could see the loving bond and connection my husband had with each of the girls.

And, as the girls grow, they turn to my husband to learn through game play, singalongs and more. That is to say that they are not learning from being home with me all day, but my husband is like a kid himself when he plays with the girls, and they like this. From learning how to play soccer, to running through the sprinkler, you can say that my husband is the "cool" parent in the girls' eye.
When my husband is not enjoying spending time outdoors with them, playing sports, taking walks up our hill to visit the local horse farm to feed the horses carrots, he is indoors letting the girls dress him up in funny hats and jewelry, or attending teddy bear tea parties hosted by my girls who get decked out in their favorite princess gowns. :-) If there was a gown to fit my husband laying around the house, I think the girls would get him to wear it. I have seen him sporting pink nail polish from a pampering afternoon with the girls, and he didn't mind one bit.
Playtime both indoors and outdoors with the girls is always enjoyed by my husband, but if you were to ask him what his favorite bonding time with the girls is, he would say bath time. Bath time? Yes...bath time. Ever since the girls lost their umbilical cords, my husband took over bath time with them. At first, he would do this so that I could shower and relax a bit. But, then he found himself bonding in a special way with the girls, and loved this pre-bedtime routine each night.
Kids really do age you. I just stumbled across the photo of my husband bathing Savannah for the first time a few days after bring her home. His love for her and Bella has only grown stronger...
Now, when it starts to get dark outside, the girls quickly grab a few books they have my husband and I alternate reading to them in bed. Then, they know it is time to head up stairs into their bathroom for bath time with Daddy, where my husband uses AVEENO® Baby products.

I have shared on numerous occasions how the girls got their sensitive skin from me. Unfortunately, though, our youngest also has to deal with eczema (which we hope she will outgrow), which none of us have to deal with. So, when it comes to using products on her skin, especially at bath time, we need to make sure that they are safe enough to use on her delicate without causing further irritation. And, the girls still move and squirm when it comes to washing their hair, so we make a point to use tear-free products, which AVEENO® offers.

I found that after 10-15 minutes soaking in the AVEENO® oatmeal bath that her skin is less irritated and she doesn't scratch as much. Just seeing this alone makes me love the AVEENO® brand. This comes in handy on those nights that the girls are extremely hyper and not looking like they want to go to bed.
