My Thoughts:

This past weekend, my parents came to visit the girls, and we had a blast watching movies together, going for walks to see the horses up the hill from us, and even paid a visit to the Roger Williams Zoo in RI.  While my girls love watching animals on television, they get nervous when they are up close to the real thing.  How about your kids? Were they scared of the animals when they were little?  Hopefully, as they get older, they will warm up to the beautiful animals at the zoo and other animals reserves, to really take them in and appreciate their uniqueness.

After the zoo and bath time last night, the girls snuggled on the couch with Nana and Papa as we wall watched this recent release, exclusive to Walmart.  If you are fan of Madagascar or other animated animal movies, then you will love their heartwarming family adventure.  the movie centers around Johnny, a koala who feels left out because he is different -- his fur is white.  He ends up running off to join the circus.  And, as the movie progresses Johnny and the other animal characters discover that being different is great and is what makes us all unique, and that we each bring different skills/qualities to the table when we work as a team, as well as the importance of friendship and acceptance.

My youngest, who is 18 months thoroughly enjoyed this movie, as she fell in love with Johnny the moment he appeared on the screen.  As for Savannah, she couldn't stop pointing out the different wild animals, many of which she saw earlier in the day at the zoo.  Overall, this is a wonderful family friendly movie that will be enjoyed from children young and old, as well as parents.  The story flows nicely, and the bright, colorful animation is definitely pleasing on the eye, and pulls you in as a viewer.
