Do you have a Mike the Knight fan in your house?  "This popular show airs on Nick Jr. and brings excitement and medieval enchantment to young viewers, as well as strong pro-social themes about problem solving and doing the right thing.  “Mike the Knight” strikes the perfect balance between thrills, spills, and life skills that reflect Mike’s motto: “Be a Knight. Do it right!”

And, on June 4th, Mike the Knight: Knight in Training will be available on DVD for the first time.

About the DVD:

"Join Mike on his adventures to serve and protect the Kingdom of Glendragon!

Mike is a knight-in-training who has some very knightly missions to complete. Whether it’s finding the perfect birthday surprise for his sister Evie, or helping others find their way back home, every day is an adventure with Mike and his merry band of friends."

My Thoughts:

This feels like a Mike the Knight month here at our house.  First I reviewed new books released from Random House for this hit animated series, and then took the girls to a mall in CT where they were having a Mike the Knight event for kids (which was Free). And, just yesterday, I received a screener copy of Mike the Knight: Knight in Training from NCircle Entertainment to review.  I was planning to watch this DVD with the girls this weekend, but they couldn't wait. :-)

So, last night after dinner, the girls got into their pajamas early, and then snuggled together on the couch, as they watched this upcoming DVD release.  If you have young toddlers in your house, then you have probably heard about Mike the Knight, which airs on Nick Jr.  If not, the show is about a little boy is learning the ropes of being a knight, so he can one day take over for his father.  Children not only learn about medieval enchanment, but also learn about the importance of team work, perserverance, problem solving and doing the right thing.  Mike the Knight has a little sister, Evie, who is a witch-in-training. Many of the stories revolve around Mike the Knight and his two dragon friends, Sparkie and Squirt, as they go on various adventures, all while learning to be a proper knight.  Even though his sister considered his rival, he learns so much from her.

We love this show, and I am now excited to begin a DVD collection of this show for the girls, as they can't get enough of Mike the Knight and his sister, Evie.  And, with this upcoming release, which is the first in hopefully many more Mike the Knight DVDs from NCircle, the girls can now get their Mike the Knight fix whenever they want. :-)  This new DVD includes the following 5 episodes, which make up the 56 minute length DVD:

  1. Scary Dragons
  2. Evie's Birthday Present
  3. Fluttering Favour
  4. Trollee's Sleepover
  5. Mission Home
In addition to the above 5 episodes, this DVD also includes some great bonus features, including the Glendragon matching game and two music videos, which are sure to delight your Mike the Knight fan.

So, what are you waiting for?  Mark your calendars for June 4th, when Mike the Knight: Knight in Training releases for the first time on DVD, and will be available at NCircle Entertainment, or a retailer near you, including Toys "R" Us, Walmart, Target and Kmart.
