My Thoughts:

When I first stumbled upon Pocoyo on Nick Jr., I wasn't sure what to think about it.  But, a few minutes into watching an episode, Savannah was hooked.  She fell in love with the cute little boy, Pocoyo and his friends, which included Elly the Elephant, Pato the Duck and Loula, Pocoyo's dog.  What sets this animated series apart from other children's shows is that not much speaking in done.  Instead, the characters rely on movements and sounds to tell the story, which is neat.  There is a narrator that talks over things and shares insight into the story, but the characters themselves use limited word.  I think this is why my girls love it so much, as they don't have to have a large vocabulary in order to understand what is going on.

We have  a nice little Pocoyo library going, and love tuning in to Nick Jr. to watch Pocoyo.  And, beginning May 7th, you can pick up a new Pocoyo DVD for your little one.  This new release features 12 fun filled episodes, which take viewers along as Pocoyo and his friends learn about how plants grow from seeds, what hatches from eggs and so much more.  The complete running time of this DVD is 90 minutes, making each of the twelve episodes a few minutes in length.  This is great for even the youngest of viewers who don't have a long attention span, as they can sit through and enjoy a few episodes.  I love to break up the day by watching a few of the episodes with the girls.  I point out colors, objects and other things to them, before talking about what we just saw.  It is nice to see them understanding basic concepts and being able to tell Pocoyo things when the narrator (Stephen Fry) asks him what or where something is.

So, if you have a Pocoyo fan in your house, or are looking for a fun animated series to share with your little ones, make sure to pre-order Pocoyo's World now. This DVD will release exclusively at Walmart on May 5th - May 20, and then at all other retailers nationwide on 5/21, as well as at NCircle Entertainment.
