Tickets On Sale Now for the Online Table Read of Holiday Classic “It’s a Wonderful Life" - Benefits the Ed Asner Family Center #Giveaway

Disclosure: I will be provided with a complimentary ticket from the vendor in exchange for promoting this event and hosting a giveaway. However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

This one-night-only virtual event takes place December 11, 2022 at 5:00 PM PT, 8:00 PM ET

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas...minus the snow here in New England.  Everyone is decorating the outside of their houses with Christmas lights, inflatables and more, and decorated and lit up trees are starting to peek out the windows as you drive by houses.  I love this time of year, not just because of the holiday music, excuse to bake and eat cookies and more, but, also because I get to watch holiday favorites with my family.  One classic movie that is a must watch at least twice this time of year is "It's a Wonderful Life."  I make a point to have it playing in the background when we put up and decorate the tree at the beginning of November, and then when I am wrapping gifts a few days before Christmas, I will put it on and watch it by myself. I grew up watching this holiday classic with my parents, and have not missed a Christmas without watching and singing along.

Being such a huge fan of "It's a Wonderful Life," I was over the moon excited when I heard that for one night only there would be a special on-air table read of this movie, done by Christina Applegate (who just got her must deserved star on the Walk of Fame), Brendan Fraser (who is a stand out this year for his film, The Whale), Sue Ann Pien, and James Cromwell, to name a few.  This event will also include a musical performance by Jennifer Hudson (which I really excited to see and listen to, as she always puts a nice spin on classic songs).

What a fun way to count down to Christmas and enjoy quality time with family, as you gather round and tune in to the Online Table Read of "It's a Wonderful Life," along with a silent auction, and live Q&A via social commerce platform Whatnot. I, for one, can't wait until this Sunday, December 11th at 8PM EST to watch this with my family.  We plan to watch the movie directly after this event, as we sip on cocoa and freshly baked cookies that the girls and I will make earlier in the day.

Read on to learn more about this event, as well as enter for a chance to win a FREE ticket so your whole family can enjoy this one night only virtual event.

More about this one night only event:

In celebration of Giving Tuesday today, purchase your tickets for a magical night of fun for the whole family! The event will also include a musical performance from Jennifer Hudson, a silent auction, and live Q&A via social commerce platform Whatnot. To purchase tickets, visit: http://teafc.org/wonderful.

Imagine Van Gogh - The Original Immersive Exhibition in Image Totale© Takes Up Residency at the SoWa Power Station In Boston, Dec. 21st - February 20, 2022 - Enter to #win a 4 Pack of Tickets Now!

Disclosure: I will be provided with complimentary tickets in exchange for sharing pre- and post-show coverage of this exhibition, thanks to the vendor.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

IMAGINE VAN GOGH THE ORIGINAL IMMERSIVE EXHIBITION IN IMAGE TOTALE© OPENS AT THE SOWA POWER STATION ON TUESDAY DECEMBER 21ST 2021

"Imagine Van Gogh, the ORIGINAL immersive exhibition in Image Totale © featuring more than 200 of the Dutch artist’s paintings, is making its debut in Boston on December 21st 2021 at the iconic SoWa Power Station centrally located in the city’s popular SoWa Art + Design District.

A true architectural wonder that once housed the world’s largest power generation plant, The SoWa Power Station has recently been renovated into an allseason events space intended to serve as a blank canvas for community, celebration, and innovation. Imagine Van Gogh has sold more than 400,000 tickets across Canada this past year "

About the Imagine Van Gogh, an immersive exhibition:

"Imagine Van Gogh, is an exhibition where one can admire The Starry Night, Irises and Sunflowers, or be drawn into the intimacy of his Bedroom in Arles. An experience that brings viewers to the heart of its images, Imagine Van Gogh is accompanied by the music of the great composers Saint-Saëns, Mozart, Bach, Delibes and Satie.

The warping techniques used for Imagine Van Gogh adapt the surface to the projected image, thus respecting the latter’s integrity to magnify the artworks, whereas more traditional mapping techniques focus on adapting the image to the surface. Warping consists in perfectly adjusting the projected work to the scenographic surface.

This technique frees the work from the gravitational subjection that befalls any earthly object. The choice of images, the way they are positioned, their rhythm and their association with the music all compose this original creation conceived by Annabelle Mauger and developed with Julien Baron."

“Original canvasses are expanded and fragmented, then projected into unusual shapes to emphasize the mesmerizing exaggerations and distortions of Van Gogh’s work. Visitors experience their energy, emotion, and beauty like never before.” - Annabelle Mauger.

All Aboard.. Thomas the Tank Engine Visits Essex, CT this April and May - Get Your Tickets to Day Out with Thomas: Big Adventures Tour 2019 Now! + Enter to #Win a Family 4-Pack #Giveaway

Disclosure: I will be provided with complimentary tickets for my family to attend the event and provide on-site media coverage.  However, all views shared are mine and mine alone.

All aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine invites little engineers to join him for a day of big adventures and even bigger memories at Day Out with Thomas: Big Adventures Tour 2019.

Children everywhere can spend a day with their friend Thomas when the #1 Engine pulls into Essex, CT on April 20th, 27th, 28th and May 4th & 5th, 2019

I was recently going through photos cleaning up my computer and stumbled upon old photos I forgot to put in albums.  Some of the photos were of our first Day Out with Thomas (DOWT) at the Essex Steam Train in Essex, CT back in 2013, along with more from the next year's DOWT.

I couldn't believe how long ago these photos were taken, as it feels just like yesterday. But, then when I see my girls and how big they have gotten, I wish for days like back in 2013 and 2014, as they were enjoying so many firsts including seeing one of their favorite television characters up close, along with first train and amusement rides.

In addition to stumbling upon these photos, I also read a press release that said that this year marks the 24th year of this fun-filled event.  Wow!, 24 years...I knew that Thomas was big back when I was young and babysitting the neighbor's kids, but I didn't find out about the Day Out with Thomas train events until I had kids of my own, and they started watching Thomas & Friends.  We have gone to all Day out with Thomas events since 2014, with the exception of last year, as my oldest was hospitalized with pneumonia, so we had to give away our ticket.s  But, friends we gave them to, are still raving about how much fun they had with their boys, and how they can't wait for this year's stop in Essex, CT.

So, when I was contacted recently to cover Day Out With Thomas: The Steam Team Tour 2019 stop, I jumped at the opportunity, not just because they were offering complimentary tickets for me to bring the family and cover the event, but also because they were offering me a chance to give away a family 4-pack, too!  This annual event is always popular when I share it with readers, and New England readers show their love for Thomas & Friends by entering the giveaway, for a chance to bring their family to Essex, CT to see Thomas up close, along with Sir Tophan Hatt, who is still my youngest daughter's favorite character, next to Percy.

Read on to learn how to enter my Day Out With Thomas: The Steam Team Tour 2019 giveaway, for a chance to win 4 tickets to the April 20th, 3:45 PM train ride.

Here is more about Day Out With Thomas: The Steam Team Tour 2019, in case you are not familiar with this popular family-friendly event, which is a must attend for fans of Thomas & Friends, both young and old.  I have even found adults who are train lovers and kids at heart attending Day Out With Thomas, for all the trains and fun that is be had during the stop.  With your ticket purchase, you get a train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine leading the way, as well as Thomas-themed activities including toy play, a pop up shop, photo ops, tattoo stations, magic shows, face painting, and even unlimited amusements.

And, yes, there are food vendors, so you can make a whole day of it, and not worry about leaving to grab food.  Everything you need, including bathrooms are right there for you, so you can spend the entire day with your family enjoying the ever popular Day Out With Thomas event.

Over the years we have visited Edaville, MA and North Conway, NH Day Out With Thomas stops, but I have to say that the Essex, CT one is my personal favorite.  Each and every year, these run a great event, and everything is all centralized, which makes it great for families with young children and strollers, or multiple kids who may be hard to keep together.  My girls, even though they are getting old, still enjoy watching Thomas & Friends, especially since they added me girl trains over the years, and look forward to Day Out With Thomas train ride each year.  And, seeing that we missed the event last year, they are even more excited this year to see what they missed! :-)
