Own it NOW!! LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City Season Three, Part One -- DVD Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure:  I was sent a screener copy from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

My husband has been loving helping me review DVDs lately, mainly because I have been sent a lot of animation, sci-fi/fantasy and anime ones to review.  But, of all the DVDs that we have been watching lately with the girls or our niece and nephew, I can say hands down that his favorite was the recently July 12th DVD release of LEGO: Legends of Chima – Chi, Tribes, and Betrayals Season 1, Part 2, which I reviewed here - http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2014/07/own-lego-legends-of-chima-chi-tribes.html.  That was until I received LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City Season Three, Part One early last week.

I wish I could have captured his reaction when he saw the DVD on the counter after arriving home from work.  Just like the girls when seeing something new, he had a big grin on his face.  Then, he asked if we had plans or if I was working after the girls went to bed. I knew what he was getting at...he wanted to watch this new DVD.  And, that he did, as he couldn't wait until the weekend.

Have you or your child seen the previous two LEGO Ninjago DVD releases?

My husband had only heard about them from friends at work, who were watching them with their kids.  They were on his wish list to pick up the next time we went shopping, or hoped that Santa would bring in December.  Even though he hadn't watched the previous DVDs, he was able to watch this new DVD release and enjoy the story line without bring confused.

The next day when I asked what he thought about it, all he could say was that it was "cool" and that all the LEGO movies that release are simply amazing with their story lines and animation.  Because he is a fan of martial arts, this LEGO movie in particular has become a personal favorite.  And, since reciving early last week, he has already watched it a couple times with Savannah, as well as my nephew.  I was surprised to see Savannah getting into it as much as she did.  But, just like her Daddy, she likes action adventure movies, and this new DVD is filled with 4 action-pack episodes that will have LEGO Ninjago fans going crazy and wanting more DVDs to watch and add to their growing collection.

So, if you have a child (or husband) in your life who loves the LEGO Ninjago series, or is simply a LEGO fan, then you will want to check out the new DVD release, LEGO Ninjago: Rebooted: Battle for New Ninjago City Season Three, Part One.  This DVD would make for a great back-to-school gift, or even a stocking stuffer idea this holiday season, if you can hide it for that long.
:-)

Now Available on DVD -- LEGO® LEGENDS OF CHIMA: THE LION, THE CROCODILE AND THE POWER OF THE CHI SEASON 1 PART 1 (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent a review copy from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  All views shared are mine and mine alone.

Expecting snow tomorrow?  Besides picking up the essentials: bread, milk, batteries, etc., don't forget to visit your local movie rental kiosk to rent a few new DVDs or Blu-rays to watch with the family.  Or, better yet, buy a few movies while stocking up on winter storm essentials, as you will probably find your kids asking to watch them over and over again. :-)  If you have a LEGO fan in the house, one movie you will want to check out is the new LEGO Legends of Chima: The Lion, The Crocodile and the Power of the Chi Season 1, Part 1 to watch.  This new DVD, which released on January 28th, contains 10 battle filled episodes on two discs.
My girls were not fans of LEGO until we took them to the LEGO Fest this past December.  Once they saw all the things that you could build with LEGO, they were hooked.  It also helped that there was a humongous pile of LEGO pieces in the center of the convention center for all the kids to jump and roll around in.  That night when we got home and we took our daughters' clothes and shoes off, little LEGO pieces fell out. :-)

Here is more about this new release:

LEGO® LEGENDS OF CHIMA™: THE LION, THE CROCODILE AND THE POWER OF THE CHI SEASON 1 PART 1 provides the ultimate blend of action and humor guaranteed to entertain fans of all ages. For a thousand years, animal tribes have rules the land of CHIMA, their stories, and the stories of those who seek to destroy them, are known as … THE LEGENDS OF CHIMA.

The kingdom of CHIMA has become a battle ground for eight animal tribes, best friends that have become enemies. The animals fight for control of a natural resource called CHI, a powerful element that is both a source of life and potential destruction. Only a few brave heroes in CHIMA understand the true nature of CHI, and the possible downfall of CHIMA that will result from its misuse. Animals throughout the kingdom relied on the magical CHI orbs to energize their vehicles, gear and themselves. The orbs were a power source that the Lions had always shared equally with everyone. They played and worked together, cooperated and prospered- until the outbreak of the CHIMA conflicts. As conflict spreads, the fate of the kingdom of CHIMA hangs in the balance.

LEGO® LEGENDS OF CHIMA™: THE LION, THE CROCODILE AND THE POWER OF THE CHI SEASON 1 PART 1 is the unique combination of action and humor, that is sure to delight LEGO fans around the world,” said Mary Ellen Thomas, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing. “We are pleased to release the first half of season one, exciting entertainment that can be shared and enjoyed by fans of all ages.”

Episodes:
  1. The Legends of CHIMA
  2. The Great Story
  3. The Warrior Within
  4. The Joy Ride
  5. Market Day
  6. Attack on Eagle Spire
  7. The Hundred Year Moon
  8. The Biggest Race Ever
  9. Gorillas Gone Wild
  10. Foxtrot

I remember at the LEGO Fest, that their CHIMA was a huge draw.  As we were in line to see this exhibit, I got to talking with some of the parents. They filled me in on this LEGO kingdom and the animals that live here. Then, their children chimed in and tell me more.  I wish you could have seen how excited the kids were as they were talking out LEGO Legends of Chima. They also spoke of this upcoming release, and were eagerly awaiting its release.  After watching the 10 episodes that make up this 2-DVD new release, I could see why they were so excited.  I haven't played with LEGO since I was a child, but my husband and I both agree that the new LEGO Chima is one we would love to play with. :-)

So, if you and/or your child love LEGO, this is one DVD worth checking out.  All ten battle episodes are action packed and sure to keep both adults and children entertained, as you sit back and watch the snow fall tomorrow.  What a way to spend a snow day!
