Available to Own on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD -- "The Flash" (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent a screener from the folks at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in exchange for my honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

While I was happy to be on vacation last week, I was even more excited to get home as I had the new "The Flash" on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment waiting for me to review. I was sent a screener and it was delivered right after I left for a 2-week vacation.  But, now that I am home, I was quick to pop it the Blu-ray player the other night and watched it with my family.  We are huge fans of the The Flash, especially the television series. We missed this DC stand-alone super hero feature film when it released in theaters, but have been eagerly awaiting its release, which was Aug. 29th, on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD.  You can also find this film on all major digital platforms, too, including Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Play, Vudu and more.

"The Flash" features rising starts as well as Ezra Miller, who is reprising their role as The Flash/Barry Allen.  This movie is full of action and suspense and a whole lot of super cool action sequences you come to expect with DC superhero movies.  In this particular movie, Barry travels back in time to save his family, but becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned. There are no other super heroes to help  out, which leaves Barry wondering if he can coax a very different Batman out of retirement to help save the world and return him back to the future.

Don't worry I will not spoil the movie in case you haven't already watched it.  What I will say, though, is that this is a must own movie for DC superhero and The Flash fans, not just for the amazing movie, but also all the great bonus content which is included with the purchase, including deleted scenes, the making of The Flash, behind the scenes content, featurettes, and even a 6-part original scripted audio series "The Flash: Escape the Midnight Circus" podcast.  I, for one, really enjoyed the podcast series, as well as the Let's Get Nuts: Batman Returns, Again featurette.

With the holidays fast approaching, this new release would also make for a great stocking stuffer for DC Superhero/The Flash fans. Hint, hint! :-)

That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he’s looking for. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?
