A couple months back I shared a review post about the new horse club line from Schleich.  The horse feeding set was such a hit with the girls, that I made a point to pick up a few more horses from the Schleich Horse Club toy line to add to their collection.  And, the girls have even added a few other animal play worlds to their Christmas wish lists.  Savannah wants more horses and the new Farm World toys, while Bella just has to get the Enchanted flower balloon that transport the star elves on a magical journey.

But, as the girls wait until Santa comes to see if they are left with the Schleich toys on their wish lists, they have been enjoying the new Big Adventure at the Water Hole play world we were recently sent to review.

Big adventure at the waterhole
"The Timbavati Game Reserve in South Africa is home to numerous animal species. Wild animals such as giraffes, zebras and elephants, as well as rhinos, lions, and leopards have found a habitat here."

Doesn't this play world look breathtaking and so life-like?  I am always blown away at the toys Schleich offers, as they are always well done and full of details that make them look almost real.

Here are a couple quick videos I took of the girls unboxing their new Big Adventure at the Water Hole play world, and showing what comes in the box -- which parents will need to help build (but it is real easy and takes a matter of minutes to put together)...

What is in the box girls?...

Let's see...

Ah, Mom, we need your help making this :-)

Can't get over the life-like waterfall

Putting together their Wild Life Play Word - Piece by Piece...

May look like a lot of pieces, but they snap and go together quickly, I promise! :-)

And, minutes later the girls are having fun setting up their animals (which are included in the set) down by the Water Hole...

Just like the waterfall, look how life-life this tree looks -- it easy pulls apart so you can position however you want...pretty cool my girls say. :-)

Savannah kept telling me to take photos of the waterfall, as it was the coolest thing she has seen.  Don't you agree?

The girls spent over two hours after unboxing and setting up the Big Adventure at the Water Hole -- they were having so much fun.

And, when Daddy came home, they couldn't wait to show him their new Schleich play world, and pulled him to the floor, so he could join in on the fun.

But, before Daddy could play, Savannah had to give him the tour and lay of the land...

And, Bella introduced him to all the wild life figures included in the set including the zebra

My girls had a blast playing with their new Safari play world from Schleich, and when their friend came over the other day, this was the first thing they pulled out and played with. Their friend and her mom thought that this was the coolest thing.  It is funny...whenever we get a new Schleich playset or figurines for the girls and friends come over, the adults always find themselves on the ground next to the kids looking on or even playing with the playset.  Everything is so detailed, making is a playset to envy and want to play with.  Oh how I wished they had playsets like this when I was a kid, as they would have provided me countless hours of imaginative and creative play.  But, at least I can be a kid again when I get down on the floor and play with the girls' Schleich's playsets with them.

And, right now, we can't get enough of the Big Adventure at the Water Hole playset.  We have had this playset for over a week now, and the girls continue to pull it out and play with it each and every day.  They have so much fun coming up with stories about the animals at the water hole, and I love watching them get so into it.  They really do get a lot out of these playsets and accessories from Schleich, compared to other playsets we own.

If you are looking for a unique gift idea to give your child this holiday and one that will be played with time and again, look no further than Schleich.  They have been bringing figurines to life since the 1950's, and they continue to outdo themselves with each new playset and figurine they add.

More about this new play world from Schleich:

Big adventure at the waterhole

"A magnificent oasis at the base of a cascading waterfall forms the centerpiece of the new Safari play world where the inhabitants of the Savannah gather.  The lion surveys his kingdom from atop a rock, watching animals like zebras, meerkats and flamingos quench their thirst at the watering hole.

The burrow at the edge of the waterhole, plants, rocks as well as the stream and waterfall can be individually and creatively rearranged.

The tree can also be transformed into a climbing frame for the chimpanzee, or made into a bridge across the waterhole or to the small island."
