(Bring your camera to take photos of the kids and Smokey Bear)
Come this weekend, most kids will be out of school for the summer...are you ready for Summer vacation to begin? If you find yourself struggling to come out with fun and inexpensive ways to keep the kids busy and entertained this busy, do I have a fun family event for my New England area readers and your kids this upcoming weekend. Mark your calendar for this Sunday, June 14th, as Macy's at the Rockingham Park in Salem, NH will be hosting Camp Macy's.
What is Camp Macy's you ask?
To align with their American Icons campaign, a number of Macy's stores nationwide will be hosting a fun kids' camp this Sunday starting at 2PM, throughout the store. While parents are busy shopping for summer essentials, kids will be occupied with fun activities, including storytelling, games such as BINGO and even snacks. Think of Camp Macy's as your all-American camp for kids, the one you used to go to as a kid, but inside your favorite local Macy's store. :-) Kids of all ages will get to experience what summer camp is all about thanks to Camp Macy's, without having to brave the elements (as they are always unpredictable here in New England) or even the bugs. :-) Ready for the best part -- this family fun event is FREE!!!!
Kids who attend Camp Macy's this weekend, including the event at the Rockingham Park in Salem, NH, will be treated to a camp experience like no other. No need to pack an overnight bag or deal with separation anxiety. Instead, get ready for a fun-filled day at Macy's, where you kids will get to show off their American spirit with crafts, tasty refreshments, giveaways and so much more!
We will be taking the girls to Camp Macy's this weekend, and are looking forward to introducing them to to camp, like we used to enjoy as kids, but this time indoors. What a fun way to enjoy family time together, while also getting in a little shopping at the same time. :-) And, leave it Macy's to come up with another fun way for families to make lasting memories by attending Camp Macy's. We have made so many great Christmas memories with their annual tree lighting in Boston, and now I can't wait to start sharing fun summer camp memories, too!
So, don't go crazy this weekend trying to figure out what to do with the kids. I just caught the news for New England and see that we are expecting a scorcher with temps in the high 80's all weekend long, with scattered showers. What better way to stay cool than to head to the Macy's at Rockingham Park in Salem, NH this Sunday (2PM) for a fun indoor camp experience, including readings, storytelling by the camp(fire), games, special giveaways, snacks (including Kool-Aid samples) and even a visit by Smokey the Bear to talk about fire prevention. I will have my camera ready and will be snapping photos of the event and my girls experiencing camp for the first time, thanks to Macy's...so keep your eyes peeled on my social media pages (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) as I will be sharing photos and videos. Hopefully, I will see you there, too! :-)
If you do get to attend Camp Macy's this weekend at the Rockingham Park in Salem, NH, make a point to use hashtag #AmericanSelfie when sharing your captured memories on your social media channels, for a chance to win a spectacular moment in Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks show on NBC, while also having Macy's donate $1 for each #AmericanSelfie share (up to $250K) to support America’s veterans with Got Your 6.
