My Thoughts:

I have always been a fan of James Cromwell, and make a point to watch movies he is in when they arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray.  So, I wasn't going to miss "Still Mine," especially after hearing rave review from movie critics and others.

This movie is based on true events, and is filled with so much passion and emotion, that you will find yourself drawn in from the start. Just watch the movie trailer, and you will find yourself watching to pick up the movie today to see what happens, to the characters in this film, Craig and Irene.

Seeing his wife deteriorating quickly with her dementia, he wants to do everything he can to make her life as easy as possible.  And, this includes building a new house for them to live in on their land.  But, there is one catch...his way of building a house doesn't meet the current day building codes.  As such, he is asked to stop, then brought to court, and ultimately faces time in jail if he doesn't fix the building code violations or stop building on the house.  But, Craig is determined to get this house built for his wife, and will do anything to finish it.

This is a truly inspirational love story.  You will laugh and cry throughout this movie, and find yourself wishing that when you get older that your partner will be just like Craig, and that your bond will be as strong as theirs.

I can't stop raving about this movie and know once you see it, you will be, too!

  1. This sounds like a movie I would enjoy watching but I will probably cry. It does sounds a lot like The Notebook but I still would like to check it out. I love wholesome family movies like this one thanks for sharing this review.
