The Girls Now Want to Drink from "Big Girl" Cups -- What Next? Dating? :-) (Review)

Where has the time gone?  Just yesterday it felt like we were welcoming our second daughter, Arabella, home, and seeing her interact with her big sister.  But, she is no longer a baby...we just celebrated her 2nd birthday back on Nov. 10th.  If only we could slow down time to enjoy them being little.  It seems like every day my girls are doing something new, or wanting to try something I wouldn't expect children their ages to want to do.  While they know how to use feeding utensils, the girls are starting to move away from the sippy cup with a straw and asking for a drinking cup like Mommy and Daddy.

But, the girls are not ready for the big glass drinking cups we use.  Even though I hated to see them grow up and want to give up their sippy cups, I knew I had to offer them a safe, durable drinking cup to practice with.  Thankfully, the folks at Nuby have Fun Drinking Cups that are "bright, fun and durable enough to withstand the challenges of daily use."  I was sent a set of four of these stylish drinking cups for the girls to use, and they took them instantly.  They were wide enough for them to grip and hold on to, and were plastic, so I didn't have to worry in case they dropped it or bit it too hard.

Now, whenever we sit down for dinner, the girls always look and make sure that their "big girl" cups at placed at their place setting.  And, even though they dribble here and there, they are getting the concept of taking sips and not tilting the cup all the way back.   I guess my girls are growing up...which leaves me with mixed emotions...happy that they are getting bigger and wanting to do more things, but sad, because soon we will not have toddlers, but young children in the house.

If you have a toddler who is asking to drink from your cup, but want to be able to offer them a safe way to practice this skill, why not check out the cool line of fun drinking cups from Nuby?  These drinking cups come in an assortment of colors, including blue, green, purple, pink and yellow -- so, you are bound to find your child's favorite color to surprise them with. :-)

  1. Having 5 kids and my youngest just starting kindergarten, I ask myself this often., where has the time gone. They just grow up so quickly and it would be nice to keep them at a certain age for longer. mine are already out of the sippy cups, crazy.
