Finally a Day When Women Can Go Without Makeup - Thanks to Lancôme DreamTone #bareselfie #DreamTone @LancomeUSA @SheSpeaksUp

Disclosure:  I received a product sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review. All views shared are mine and mine alone.

It is not that often that my mother asks to review a product I was sent to review.  But, after talking to her about the new Lancôme DreamTone, she just had to try it out.  This new dark spot corrector uses three barely tinted serums to visibly correct dark spots, color imperfections and uneven skin tone.  Having grown up in the 50's and 60's, my mother never cared much about applying sunscreen or daily moisturizer to her face.  She would spritz her hair with lemon juice in the summer for quick, FREE highlights, and would bathe by the lake or community pool with friends on those hot summer days, never worrying about age spot, sun spots/damage, etc.  But, when she reached her teens, like most girls going through puberty, she experiences a few years of breakouts.  Some of the breakouts left her acne scars, which she has been self conscious of to this day.  By the time she turned 17 yrs. old, the acne breakouts had gone away, but the damage was already done to a once bare face.  So, like many women, she started using makeup to cover up her imperfections, until it became second nature.  Instead of going bare, she always made a point to put concealer and/or foundation on her face each morning after getting out of bed.

Then, when she got pregnant with my brothers and I, the hormonal changes her body went through caused acne breakouts again, which again left her fair skin with an uneven skin tone due to acne scars and now blotchy skin.  Again, she relied on concealer to mask her skin's imperfections.  I can only recall a handful of times that I saw my mom without makeup -- usually when she was really sick, or would through her back out.  Other than that, she would tote around her makeup bag for touch ups.

Being my mother's daughter and having the same fair skin tone, I also had periods back in my teens of breakouts, which left acne scars.  And, then when I hit my late 20's, I started experiencing breakouts from stress.  I, too, started to rely on concealer to mask my skin's imperfections, as I had grown up watching my mom do the same.  So, when I told her about this campaign and how excited I was to try it, yet self-conscious about taking a #bareselfie of myself, I couldn't believe when she begged to try it on my behalf.  How was I to say, 'No."  She said she always dreamt of not having to wake up daily to put makeup on, and how she missed going bare faced like she did in her early teens.

So, when I received my sample of the new Lancôme DreamTone dark spot correcting serum, I passed it along to her to try for 4 weeks.  She just finished up her fourth week, and can't stop raving about how great this product is.  Within the first few days of using, she started to see and feel results.  Not only did the uneven color in her cheeks and chin area start to fade, her skin was feeling smoother and had a glow to it -- something she hadn't seen in so long.  While you can't see drastic changes from photos she took from Day 1 to the end of Week 4, you can see how my mom's confidence has improved when it comes to baring it for the camera.  She was done this weekend to visit the girls, and spent the entire weekend without makeup.  And, you know what, she wasn't self conscious one bit.  She loved the skin she was in, and felt like a million bucks thanks to the new Lancôme DreamTone.  Seeing how confident she is, and how she is loving the results, and wants to continue with the daily Lancôme DreamTone regime, I can't wait to pick up a bottle and try it out for myself.

And, my mom is not the only one seeing results.  DreamTone is the next generation of dark spot correction. It is so powerful, that 72% of women dare to bare their skin.*

Women using the Lancôme DreamTone dark spot correcting serum saw the following results during their 8 week use:

• 74% saw glowing skin*

• 70% noticed a more even skin tone*

• 69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced*

• 78% saw color imperfections reduced*

Color Correction specific to your skin tone: Imperfections like redness, sallowness and acne marks are visibly reduced.

*All results based on global self-assessments of women of multiple ethnicities in an 8-week study.  72% reflects 8 weeks of use.

So, if you have spent your life covering up your acne/blemish marks, uneven skin tone or other skin imperfections with makeup, why not try out the new Lancôme DreamTone.  You will be amazed at the results you will see.  How great would it be to bare your skin and take a #bareselfie like my mom and so many other who participated in this campaign did?  It is so empowering, and will leave you feeling more self confident, as you can finally go outside without the need of applying makeup to hide dark spots, etc.
