Savannah is Loving Her New 2-Piece Short and Blouse Set from Mamas & Papas (Review)

Disclosure:  I was sent a sample from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

If you have little ones or are expecting, then you probably are up on the different online clothing stores selling essential baby products, including cute clothes.  But, have you heard of Mamas & Papas?  This family-run company is known as Great Britain's favorite baby brand is now available for purchase in the US.  This company prides itself on "providing parents with essential products that add simplicity to their everyday routines.  Based on parenting experiences of their own, Mamas & Papas designs innovative, stylish and high quality products that are practical and easy to use, with products ranging from strollers, high chairs, developmental toys, babywear and more."  To learn more about Mamas & Papas, please visit their website: http://us.mamasandpapas.com/.

Just last week, I was sent a cute 2 piece short and blouse set from their 2013 product line, which retails for $55.99, for the girls to help me review.

"Colorful 2 piece girls short & blouse set - the perfect little outfit to enjoy fun in the sun.
  • Woven floral sleeveless blouse with contrast panel detail at the neck. Two button fastening at back of blouse with visible inner contrast lining.
  • Green balloon style shorts with embroidery and button detail. Featuring four mock front buttons for style only and side bow detail round hem of shorts. The adjustable waistband with easy button fastening"

  • Savannah usually makes out like a bandit when it comes to helping me with reviews, as she is always awake when the mail comes -- coincidence -- I think not. :-)  So, she saw me take out this summer outfit to admire, and wanted to try it out.  Before I could take the tags off, she was stripped down to her diaper waiting for me to hand her the outfit to put on.  Like I shared earlier, she is not "Miss Independent" or as she calls it "A Big Girl Now," and doesn't want help when it comes to dressing herself.

Within a few minutes, and my help with buttoning the buttons in the back of the shirt, Savannah was ready to model for the camera.  Here are a few photos I took of her hamming it up for the camera:

Now that she is getting older, she is also getting goofier when it comes to camera time.  In the past, she would pose and smile for the camera.  But, now, she likes to make funny faces, or make it hard to take just the right photo. Ever experience this with your toddler?  It can be frustrating at times, but many of the photos do look cute and will make for fun photo books and holiday cards. :-)

This was the first time I was able to see the quality of the types of clothing Mamas & Papas offers, and have to say that I am impressed. Having an 18 month old and almost 3 yr. old, I have been shopping for baby and toddler for the past 3 yrs.  So, I have a good sense of brands and the quality of their products.  While some brands I have run into that offer high price clothing, their clothes lack style or don't seem to fit right.  Yes, I have had luck with play clothes being purchased at local baby/children's store -- but, they always seem to miss that cute stylish look, you hope to get with baby and toddler clothing.

I don't know about you, but I love shopping for new clothes for the girls.  While I still buy a lot of matching outfits for them to wear, I am not also looking for colors that go well with them, or are their favorites.  Savannah loves blue and purple, while Arabella likes pink and yellow.  So, this outfit that was sent from the Limited Edition Collection from Mamas & Papas, was just right for Savannah.  We both loved the patterned blouse and cute little shorts. The colors were not overly bold, and really made for a fun summer outfit.

Since receiving this outfit for review, I have washed and spot cleaned it a few times, and am happy to report that the colors haven't run or faded, nor has the clothes shrunk.  Just last night, I washed, dried and folded this 2-piece set, which I suspect Savannah will want to wear today, and couldn't get over how well it is keeping its shape.  You can tell that this outfit and others from Mamas & Papas is made from high quality fabrics, and will last the daily wear and tear of little ones.  Even though Savannah spilled juice and dripped a Popsicle on the shirt the other day, a quick soak in liquid detergent, took the stain right out -- leaving the outfit looking fresh and new as the first day we received.

I am so impressed with the Mamas & Papas line, and can't wait to shop for more clothes and coordinating accessories.  And, knowing that their clothes fit children from birth to age 4, I will be shopping with them for a few more years.  I will also have their website bookmarked for baby shower gifts, etc.  So, if you love shopping for your child/grandchild (ages birth through age 4) for clothing and more, why not stop on over to the Mamas & Papas site and browse their selection of babywear, strollers, high chairs, developmental toys and much more?  I am amazed at their product selection, and can't stop talking about it with family and friends.
