ThermaCare® Introduces New Cold and Heat Wraps to Their Product Line, in Addition to Fun Facebook Contest -- Review and #Giveaway

Disclosure: I was sent samples from the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

Early this month, I shared a blog post about the Wheel of Heal Facebook game and contest from ThermaCare, where you could win product coupons, instant prizes and a Hot and Cold Relief Getaway!  If you missed my post about this Facebook contest, which started on May 2nd, and wil continue through the rest of year, click here to read my post now -- http://www.inspiredbysavannah.com/2013/05/enter-thermacare-wheel-of-heal-facebook.html.
Today, I wanted to share my thoughts on ThermaCare's new Cold Wraps, as well as their popular HeatWraps, in addition to offer to offering one lucky reader a chance to the same ThermaCare® relief giveaway package I was sent to review, shown here:

Prior to my cancer diagnosis in 2008, I had suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia pain on a daily basis.  There were days I couldn't get out of bed, my body ached so much.  On days like this, I only found relief with ThermaCare HeatWraps, which I apply to back and shoulders.  Within a few minutes of applying the heat wrap, the deep penetrating heat would begin to bring relief to my aching muscles.  I was so impressed with how long the heat wraps would stay hot.  Unlike other heat wraps or even muscle rubs, which would get hot for a few minutes, and then begin to stop working afer a few minutes, ThermaCare would never disappoint.

But, since my cancer treatment, my RA has gone into remission, and my Fibromyalgia acts up only occasionally, at which time I use ThermaCare wraps.  Usually stress, lack of sleep and heavy lifting or carrying will trigger my Fibromyalgia to kick in.  And, with the girls being sick this past week and half, not only was I tired from being up most nights, but I spent half my day carrying the girls around, or carting them to the doctors.  So, by the end of the day, by body was aching and I needed relief.

Muscle Therapy

·         *NEW* ThermaCare® Cold Wraps are designed with TargetTemp Insulation TechnologyTM to deliver a constant, comfortable cold so you can wear them continuously.  Giving you effective relief without the icy shock that’s often accompanied by traditional ice packs.  ThermaCare® Cold Wraps can be reused and refrozen for up to ten times.

Muscle & Joint

·         ThermaCare® is designed to work differently.  Unlike other topical pain relievers, ThermaCare® HeatWraps have patented heat cells that penetrate deep to the source of pain for long-lasting pain relief + faster healing. Therapeutic heat soothes, relaxes and unlocks tight muscles & joints for up to 16 hours of relief.  While the patented heat cells send heat deep into the tissue to increase blood flow and accelerate healing.

I ended up using the ThermaCare lower back and hip heat wrap I was sent to review, and within a few minutes began to see the pain melt away.  In the past, this heat wrap also came in handy for lower back pain felt from menstrual cramping.  But, what I really excited to try out was the new reusable ThermaCare Cold Wraps, which can be refreezed up to ten times.  The joint therapy cold wrap from ThermaCare couldn't have come at a better time, as my fingers were swollen and sore from not only my Fibromyalgia, but also carrying around the girls, who each way around 25 pounds each.  I couldn't believe how quickly this cold wrap brought relief to my aching joints, and reduced swelling almost immediately.  And, unlike other ice packs, which I would have to generally wraps in towels to reduce the severity of the cold temperatures felt on my bare skin, this new Cold Wrap from ThermaCare offered a comfortable cold, without the need to limit its use or having to apply an extra layer of clothes between the cold wrap and my skin, as protective barrier.

Oh yeah, and as a treat, I was also sent a Hot/Cold Coffee Mug, which came in handy for the few extra cup of coffee I would find myself having in the AM, after an up-all-night shift.  There was also a Hot/Cold Gel Eye Mask, that my husband snatched up and began using to help bring relief to his allergy suffering.  The eye mask seemed to reduce his puffy, irritated eyes, and provided a relaxing feel to his tired eyes.

Want to win the ThermaCare® relief giveaway package that I was sent to review, as well?  Not only will you get samples of the ThermaCare HeatWraps and ThermaCare Cold Wraps®, but you will also get the Hot/Cold Coffee Mug and Hot/Cold Gel Eye Mask to pamper yourself with.
