Omega Infusion™ Omega-3 Enhanced Water -- A Truly Refreshing and Healthy Beverage (Review)

Disclosure: I was sent samples by the vendor in order to write up an honest review.  The views shared are mine and mine alone.

Have you heard about Omega Infusion water?  I hadn't until I was recently sent samples.  So, what is Omega Infusion, and how is it different from other bottled beverage? "Omega Infusion water is a clear beverage incorporating omega-3s EPA/DHA in a tasty and nutritious form. One bottle of Omega Infusion water delivers 80mg of essential omega-3s (EPA/DHA), 200% of the recommended daily value of vitamin C and 80% of four B vitamins. Omega Infusion's healthy hydration is available in four deliciously refreshing flavors - Berry, Citrus, Fruit Punch and Orange, of which I was sent a sample of each.

I have been sharing since January how I am trying to lose the excess baby weight that I gained with the girls' pregnancies in 2010 and 2011, of which I can't seem to get rid of the the 15 lbs.  While I know that coffee and soda is not good for you overall, as well as when dieting, but I can't say "No" to these beverages, when looking for a quick pick-me-up, which seems often.  Recently, the girls and I have been sick, yet again, with the nasty head cold and virus going around.  So, my sleep at night time has been limited, as they are both congested and then have spells of a runny nose, that keep them awake most of the night.  I feel like I am back on newborn duty, up every couple of hours, without a good night's sleep.

When the girls are sick, or Bella is teething, and I find myself going with the necessary sleep to recharge my batteries, I will often reach for a few cups of strong coffee throughout the day, as well as soda to get me through the day.  Then, at night time, comes the dreaded crash -- not fun, when the girls are getting their second wind, and I am exhausted -- and, oftentimes dehydrated, from not drinking enough water.

So, these samples of Omega Infusion water couldn't have come at a better time, as I have been trying to find a healthy alternative to coffee and soda, when needed to recharge and hydrate myself.  I am not usually a flavored water fan, as if I was, I would have been able to kick the coffee and soda habit a long time ago.  But, I was intrigued with all that this infused water has to offer.  Out of four different flavors sent, Berry, Citrus, Fruit Punch and Orange, I have to say that my favorite was Berry, as it offered just the right amount of sweetness, making for a nice, refreshing drink.  I tried the drinks both cold and warm, and have to say that I preferred them cold.  They had a crispier taste when chilled, and were way more appealing.

Even though I know I am a long way from giving up coffee and soda, I now have another beverage option that is healthier and a switch from plain water.  So, if you like flavored waters or infused beverages, and haven't tried Omega Infusion water yet, you will definitely want to check them out.  At only $1.99 a bottle, you can't go wrong for a healthy hydrating drink like Omega Infusion water. You can purchase this beverage online through the Omega Infusion website, as well as find at your local GIANT and Stop and Shop grocery stores.
