20 Mule Team® Borax is an all natural product with many practical uses in the laundry room, kitchen and bathroom.
If you are the one who does laundry or the house cleaning in your house, then you may know about 20 Mule Team Borax. "For over 115 years, 20 Mule Team Borax has helped the world get their clothes smelling fresher and their households looking cleaner. Borax has long been, and will continue to be the natural way to clean. 20 Mule Team is all natural and always has been!"
My family has been using Borax for generations, starting with my great grandmother, who used it for all her household cleaning needs. From washing baby clothes and delicates to using as a toilet bowl cleaner and carpet deodorizer, she could always rely on Borax to get the job done. And, as the girls in the family grew up and started having children of their own, Borax was passed on and used in their houses. And, now over 100 years later, I am using 20 Mule Team Borax in my house. Having been exposed to this amazing all natural detergent booster and multi-purpose household cleaner, I make a point to have a few boxes on hand, for all my cleaning needs.
And, with two young children, it seems like I spend half my week in the laundry room soaking and pre-treating their stained clothes. But, with the help of Borax, removing stains and getting their clothes clean has never been easier. All I need is a 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax and warm water. The clothes are soaked in this mix, and then I follow up with a hot or warm water wash, adding an additional 1/2 cup of Borax, along with my Purex Baby detergent. Each and every time I pull the clothes out of the dryer, they look bright, smell baby fresh and have no signs of stains (which I love).
In addition to using 20 Mule Team Borax as a stain remover (works great at removing tough stains like tomato sauce, oil/grease, grass and ground-in dirt) and detergent booster, I practically use in all other rooms in the house, just like my great grandmother did. From sprinkling 1/4 coup of 20 Mule Team Borax into the toil bowl, then swishing with a toilet brush, letting stand for 30 minutes or overnight, followed by a quick flush, to neutralizing odors in the garbage disposal and drains (sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons in the wast disposal and/or drains, let stand 15 minutes and flush with water), Borax makes cleaning and deodorizing a breeze. Also, try Borax on your carpets and rugs to remove tough stains (dissolve 1/2 cup of 20 Mule Team Borax in 1 pint water, sponge on stain, wait 1/2 hour, rinse well, let dry and then vacuum) and to help with hard water (simply add 1/2 cup with your regular detergent to get cleaner, fresher-smelling clothes).
If you have never tried 20 Mule Team Borax, you are in for treat. I don't know about you, but I always get excited when I stumble upon a new cleaning product that can be used for multiple purposes.
