Holiday Gift Ideas -- 'Twas the Mouse Who Saved Christmas – A Personalized Holiday Book by MarbleSpark (Review and Flash Giveaway)

I love sharing personalized books with my daughters, and was excited to read "Twas the Mouse Who Saved Christmas" to them the other night.  This customized book is a product of MarbleSpark, whose first customized book was "Following Featherbottom."  I was not familiar with this company, but was excited when their website url was sent to me for review.  Having reviewed other personalized book sites, I was curious to see how this one compared, and if it offered anything unique to make it stand it from the rest.  What caught my eye with this new title was the beautiful, lifelike illustrations done by Brad Sneed.  He captured the essence of the holidays and made you excited about Christmas.  Oh, and you can't help but fall in love with the cute little mouse, called Pipp.

I had this book personalized for Savannah.  And, when we received it, I began flipping through the pages to see how they added her name throughout it.  Not only was it prominently displayed on the hard cover, but as you open to the first page, there was a dedication page, which was dated, so that we can remember when it was made, as we continue to read it year after year at the holidays.  Savannah's name continued to pop in the text of the story, as well as in cute illustrations.  As I read the story to her, I pointed of her name, and she would get excited and "me, Me."   The story, based on the classic "Twas the Night Before Christmas," follows Pipp the mouse as she tries to fix a mistake she made when tearing part of Santa's Naughty and Nice list.  Not wanting "Savannah" to miss out on a X-Mas present, she worked frantically to come up with a way to fix the torn list.  Does she find a way to make it right, and not prevent Savannah from having Santa pay her a visit on Christmas Eve?  I am not going to tell.  :-)  You will just have to pick up a copy of this cute holiday tale, which will surely become a family favorite in your house.  And, the best part of all, is the letter Santa wrote to Savannah on the back page.  Even though she is too young to understand Santa right now, I know that when she gets a little older, she will get excited when she sees the letter from the man in red. :-)
