Summary:

"Look! A book! A hook! A cowboy cook!
Weird and kooky things that go!
Some go fast and some go slow!

Can you find the squawking crow?

Go on a crazy seek-and-find adventure in this new picture book from award-winning artist Bob Staake. Die-cuts on every page draw readers into each themed scene and invite them to find the items hidden within the elaborately detailed spreads. From underwater worlds, to haunted houses and tree-top towns, there are endless details for readers to search for and discover. This inventive picture book format will have kids hooked from the very first die-cut page all the way through to the end where a gate-fold finale challenges them to go back for yet another look and even more surprises.

Bob is best-known and widely celebrated for his picture books and this visual feast is some of his most exciting and creative work to date! "

My Thoughts:

I received this in the mail yesterday, and had a blast reading it to Savannah last night.  If your children enjoy seek-and-find books, they will love this new release by Bob Staake, which is a companion to Look! A Book!, published in 2010.  The bright and colorful illustrations alone with entertain your children.   When Savannah wasn't helping me find the hidden images, she loved playing with the die-cut peek-a-boo holes that fill the pages of this storybook.  The story itself is fun to read, as it has a great rhyming scheme, that coincide with the whimsical and fun illustrations.  I ended up picking up a few more copies of this book last night during my last minute mad dash for Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews, as I knew they would love this seek-and-find book, too.  And, so far, the ones I have given the book to, love it.  :-)

So, if you are looking for a fun interactive book to share with your children, why not pick up Bob Staake's Look! Another Book!?  You will even have fun reading the book to them, and trying to find the hidden images.  I have even been using this book, which is jam packed with images to teach Savannah new words.  She is loving being able to point to something and tell me what it is. :-)
