My Thoughts:

This book shares stories on the mind-body connection and how combined can improve your overall health and well being.  My husband first read this book, as I was busy reading a few other books in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.  But, after hearing talk about how great this book was, and about the inspiration stories and medical advice, I just had to read it.  So, last night, I read this book cover to cover.  What a wonderful collection of inspirational stories, from all walks of life -- from teenagers to those with a Ph.D.  In addition to the personal stories, this book also contains useful medical advice from Dr. Jeff Brown on how to use your mind to promote better health, how to find the right doctor, stress reducing techniques and how to manage your overall health.  With a background in health education, I found this book very insightful and worth reading.  Yes, some tips from the doctor may make you think, "And, you didn't think I knew this?," while others will have you scratching your head and wondering why you didn't try them some.

Overall, I am so glad I took time to read this book, and will try and put some of the stress management and coping skills to use, in hopes to create a better balance in my life, and improve my overall health and well being.  I would highly recommend this book for anyone who has a fascination with how the mind and body work together, as well as those looking to improve their overall health through positive thinking.
