My Thoughts:
We became fans of the classic Stellaluna book after Nana and Papa gave it to Savannah this past Christmas. And, shortly thereafter, I found out that they were turning this heartwarming story into an animated film. I knew that once this movie came out, both Savannah and I would enjoy snuggling up on the couch together, watching Stellaluna. Young children will learn about friendship, as well as how we are all unique and different. And, even though we are different doesn't mean we have to change to make others happy. Friends will like you for who you are, no matter what. What a great message to share with young children! I couldn't get over the bright, eye-catching animation of this film, and how this classic storybook was brought to life on the big screen. It has definitely become a family favorite, and one DVD we will gladly watch over and over again.
